|OT| Pokemon (Black & White): Thread of Darmanitastic!

I just beat the Elite Four and I never had trouble being of a decent level in the game.

The only little help I had was Jodd trading me an Excadrill a few levels higher than my team, but I didn't use it much until my team was around its level.

Is it possible to breed Archen?
If so, mind trading me one?

ZOMG I just caught Cobalion in a pokeball. Does throwing a million pokeballs make pokemon easier to catch?

I'm not super far into the game yet, so I don't really have much of value I can trade. Unless you want my pansage, which I just found out isn't actually all that hard to catch anyway.

I just one-handedly beat Elesa with Mogu, my Excadrill, even with her Zebstrika knowing that Fire move.

So now, my team is as follows:

Snappy (Krokorok), 31
Manhattan (Tranquill), 28
Pacific (Dewott), 26
Archiano (Archen), 26

Spot 6 is still open.

So, archen users, answer me a question: Is archen worth using, despite her awful ability? I'm tempted to use her, cause I need a flying type, and I can't beat the game with only my pignite and Zorua... And I'm about to cross the desert, so now's the best time to snag her.

If I DO get her, she'll be named 'Clever Girl', as a reference to Jurassic Park.

Considering the entire game is based around New York, it is safe to assume that.

Ok, here's my team thus far on my second playthrough of Gen. V (though first playthrough of Black)

Ganon (Pignite), Level 32
Kyuubi (Zoroark), Level 31
Cactaur (Maractus), Level 28
Yoshi (Archen), Level 28

I caught maractus just cause he's a grass type and I figured he'd help me out against the 4th gym leader, but now that I'm using him I can tell he's way better than Archen. Archen's defense sucks, and though his attack is phenominal, it doesn't even begin to make up for all his drawbacks. I dunno... I'll use him for a bit longer, but I think I'm gonna end up tossing him before too long.

Once again does anyone have a Thundurus they don't want or can let me borrow, make me an offer

Yes. At least, if you don't mind a glass cannon. It'd help a lot if it could use Roost, but it's not that big of a deal. Archeops' base Attack is really good, and it has enough Sp. Atk to be used as a mixed attacker. It's base Speed isn't too shabby either, so going first isn't likely to be a big deal.

Of course it's got horribly low Defense and Sp. Def (it's HP isn't the greatest either), so you might want a nature that'll boost either defense stat.

I used an Archen/Archeops for my in-game team and it worked pretty well! Not sure if I'll use one for competitive battling yet, though.

I thought Archen's design looked absolutely awful until I realised it was modelled on an archaeopteryx - and then I thought the monsters looked great for what they were. :]

I reckon if a Grey exists, it'll be 3DS-ified.

If a Grey comes out for the 3DS and I manage to own a 3DS and have enough disposable income to afford it, I want it.
