I really really really want the Gobi sniper rifle. I heard it's near Cottonwood or somethin'.

I'm just collecting all the companions possible. I really hope I didn't blow it with recruiting Cass. I didn't have enough money/barter/speech skills to win it. :/

So far I have Veronca, Raul, and Boone in the Lucky 38. Now trying to get my repair skill up so I can get ED.

You don't need a lot of repair skill. You just need some scrap metals, scrap electronics and sensor modules, then it won't matter how low your skills are.

I forgot how much of each.

Then I guess I'll have to hunt for some! Come Raul! We must "prospect" for scraps!

And I'll also make a bee-line to the town where Lily Bowen lives to recruit her as well.

I've been looking around Hidden Valley for hours and I still can't find the ranch dressing! The brotherhood of steel guys won't show me where the vegetable carnival is either. Lies I tell you!

By the way, is there some special trick to dealing with deathclaws? The only way I can down one is by using my incinerator (I shoot it, backpedal away while it burns, shoot it again once the flames go out, rinse and repeat) and even then I die half the time. There is no way I can fight more than one at once, which I what I'll probably need to do to clear out the quarry.

You mostly just have to talk to/hang around Veronica a lot and she might tell you where the BoS Bunker is... if that's what you're looking for in the Hidden Valley. EDIT: Oh XD Nevermind.

As for Deathclaws, I just find a spot and snipe them. If they see me, time to pack up and run.

Also, I've been testing out the very awesome Unlimited Companions mod, I've recruited BOTH Boone and Veronica WHILE ED-E is following. Seeing a long line of party members sneaking behind me while inside a dungeon or something is hilarious.

You can get an exclusive Gauss Rifle you couldn't get with it.

Well, I finally got the deathclaws, sniping them worked pretty well.

Also, some proof that not all of these bugs are bad: When I was fighting the alpha male deathclaw, he knocked out ED-E, however he then got hung up on ED-E's body, so he just stood there running in place while I emptied my gun into his head.

Also, I took out Tabitha. That's is good I guess, but now I miss hearing the black rock show. She may have locked up Raul, but at least she had a funny show.

There's a way to not kill Tabitha, by the way, and still complete the quest.

But the radio's still gone in the end.

Meh, I like Raul better than Tabithia.

I like most of the companions. I love having them sneaking in a long line behind me. It's awesome.

Because Wild Wasteland is the perk for "I want goofy **** in my Fallout". New Vegas is far, far closer to the tone and world design seen in the first two games, and heck, even with Wild Wasteland turned on, the references and humour are far more subtle than anything in the first five minutes of Fallout 3.

Which reminds me. To anyone here who was played Fallout 3, and hasn't played Fallout 1 and Fallout 2, you have two choices: kill yourself now, or buy those amazing games and enjoy them as some of the best CRPGs ever made.

I got the Gobi Campaign Rifle! I haven't tried it out thoroughly yet, but I did make sure to boost my crit rates with luck+perks, etc.

So I decided to try it on the Legion camp at Cottonwood (already Vilified/Hated with them), and I saw a guy hanging up on a cross and I was like "SURE'.

So I did.

"Sneak attack critical on Anders"

Oops.

Also, is there any way to un-vilify yourself in a group? I may have shot up some Great Kahns by.. uh.. accident.

Ok, this is gonna sound stupid, but where do party members go after you separate from them?

I temporarily let go of ED-E and it said he went back to Primm, however now I need him again and I can't find him in Primm (I expected him to be in the room I activated him in, but he doesn't seem to be anywhere else in town either). The same goes with Raul at Black Mountain; I sent him back and he isn't in the room I found him in.

That's a bug. You can probably use the console "~" key, and commands to get them back.

Same thing happened to me. Except I didn't tell ED-E to go anywhere. He just disappeared.

use the console commands. It's easy, just find the ref ID (I think), which will be on that NPC's wiki page, then just type player.moveto <ID>. I THINK that is the correct command, I used it ages ago to get Boone back after he got stuck on a rock.

Let me aim that for you next time.
