When i think of button-bashing I think of games like mortal kombat. If the game turned out like MK i'm not buying it... :/

No, it's not like that. You use the A button to use normal slashes, which builds up Tech Points. Then, the B button is used to use T attacks. Yiu might hit up on the control stick then b to execute one oove or something like that. Trust me, if you don't like MK games, you'll still love this one. The moves are only 2 step moves.

It's like Soul Calibur but with more movement freedom and jumping over people... or it's like Super Smash. Bros without the ledges. You get many moves and you can assign quick use moves to the C-stick so if you can tell someone else to heal/use a specific move.

Yep, it's like that. X is guard, x + up is jump and you can set a ton of tech moves to different buttons like right+B or C up+B. It's like that. Trust me, the gameplay is one of the things that makes this game unique.

Re: Tales of Symphonia

I finally finished the game today. I played a total 55 hours and I had Lloyd on level 63. And the story of the game was absolutely good as well as the graphics. o.o

It was a little shocking when I found out that Kratos is Lloyd's father. And the last battle with Mithos was a piece of cake. I turned off all Genis's spells and got rid of him with the explosion spell. As for Zelos, meh, I never liked that guy and he was always acting a bit weird anyways.

Whah! All you people are lucky! I can't play my GCN only on weekends, so It's going to take 4ever for me to beat it! :moodswing So far though, it's been a good game, with a good story, good graphics, and good about everthing in it. It's a great game.

Re: Tales of Symphonia

Oh, I forgot to mention this about the game.

When you are in Welgaia for the second time and freeing the prisoners, Regal and Presea, and they are talking, you see the work 'Eject' on the bottom right screen. I guess it was when they were recording the voices of the characters. I want to know if anyone else has seen it. o.o

Re: Tales of Symphonia

I beat the game too...awhile ago actually o.o; I'm at level 75 now, and it's hard as heck to level up at the moment >.<;; I've rebuilt Luin! So I got Lloyd's Pirate outfit! XD If it wasn't for the tourney I would never have had enough money to do it. And, MAN, beating the (singles) advance tourney was HARD. But, I got an awesome Twin Blade for it, so s'all good

Hey, has anyone else done the Devil's Arms side-quest? >.o; That boss battle against that dude was the hardest in the game! It took me over 15 minutes and countless healing items to beat him! >_<; And what do I get?!? Those STUPID devil's arms back that have crappy power levels, and some dumb shoe thing. Presea's new title is pretty good, but still >_>

Oh! Presea! Man, she rules!! She's the only other person I play as other than Lloyd. I can play as her quite well. Heck, I almost beat the advance tourney with her.

Sooo...what's left for me in the game? Well, after playing for 80-something hours, I need to start expanding Luin, beat the expedition match in group battles, do the Underworld side-quest, get all the recipies, get all the items, and record all the monsters! Yes, I'm gonna do it all for the heck of it. And after that, I'm gonna try to complete mania mode.
School is around the corner though, so I guess I won't have much time to do it anyway ^^;

About the Devils Arms

I'm not exactly sure but I think they get stronger with each battle so the more you battle the stronger they get

About Devil's Arms (Part 2! =D)

What? The more you battle with them equipped, or can you do it without them equipped?

Re: Tales of Symphonia

I'm pretty sure it's equipped, I'll have to check. *runs off and turns on gamecube*

Edit: It's just your attack. They mess up your other stats to raise your attack.

Re: Tales of Symphonia

Argh, I got a question. I see that WT started the game after he beat it and it seems you can rebuild the city of Luin. Well, I put the second disk on and started the game. It told me to put the fisrt disk back on. I did and the game started all over again. I thought you can play it after you beat it, not start all over again -_-

Re: Tales of Symphonia

I just finished the game!

There were so many twists in the game. Kratos being Lloyd's dad blew my mind away, but then again they did throw hints throughout the game. Like the time in Triet where Kratos went outside to visit Noishe. As for Zelos being a spy... Well, the guy was funny, but a total prick. He got on my nerves alot.

The ending was a bit strange. I'm not sure I understood in completely. Was Tabatha (I'm not sure I got the name right, but it's close... I think.) the godess. And Martel not being the godess? Could somebody please explain all this to me?

Oh, by the way. What happens if you get all the Devil's Arms? I never bothered looking for 'em.

Re: Tales of Symphonia

Karasu, like you, I never understood the ending.

I have no idea why Tabatha was surrounded by Martel. If you remember before having a battle with Mithos, he said there was no goddess, and when Martel came back, Lloyd asked him if she was Martel, but she said no and that she was with the tree. I could be wrong here, but I think Martel is the tree. When the tree dies, she dies too. They are the same. And Tabatha looks a lot like Martel. It is confusing >_> By the way, what name did Lloyd give the tree. My cousin was talking and I didn't hear anything -_-

I hate to say it, Fianaa, but the tree was given no name. The screen just turned black and the credits began to roll. -_-

>.<; I know how you feel, Fianaa! I wanted to beat the final boss a few more times. I wouldn't have saved the game if I had known that would happen.

Karasu Tengu, if you get all of the Devil's Arms, you will have to fight a boss, naturally. I think it's in the Temple of Darkness. I haven't done it personally, so I can't say how hard he is, but I heard he may be tougher than the final boss. I'm working on collecting them now.

And unfortunately it never did give a name. I always thought the name would be Symphonia since it's the name of the game, and I never heard that word in the game at all...O.o;...just my opinion.

Re: Tales of Symphonia

Whoa, whoa, whoa, you guys actually saved over your file when the game ended?! o.o Sheesh, I would never do that! Not even if I knew you continued the game if that was possible. Man, I feel sorry for you, seriously I beat the game, but I put the completion data in another slot, and continued from the save before the boss...

Oh, the Devil's Arms. Yeah, the boss you fight is way harder than the final boss. Kinda sucks really. I like to get some satisfaction outta a final boss...and I beat him so fast... >_>

Re: Tales of Symphonia

Heh, yeah.. I've saved over the last two files I finished.. stupid point on my part, but a mistake that can easily be remedied by not doing it another time. Heh, it seems like a pretty pitiful thing to do too, when there's something like 120, 130-odd slots. Oh well, as Zelos says, "Whatever will be, will be."

Underworld drives me nuts everytime I go through that, then I think what would happen to me in there if I was on "Mania", and I think I'd be fried. Also need to take that chance to go against Abyssion, although if that battle's anything like it was against Living Armor, I'll defenitely have to level up some more.

Re: Tales of Symphonia

Living Armor? That's the Underworld boss, right? I haven't ventured into there yet, I hope it's good for leveling up. *really wants to get to level 100 and get a shiny new sword* =3

Is it just me or does the group expedition match seem like the hardest battle in the game? x.o;;
