Re: Age Ratings

I nave never had this problem, because I am 14 and I cant drive, so my mom or dad has to take me to stores anyway, so they are there with me so I can get a ride and since they are there with me I dont have any problems. But I dont think the guy that works at Wal-Mart cares anyway, cause once I was there with out my mom and dad and he let me buy Ghost Recon.

Re: Age Ratings

I've never really had a problem with the ratings thing. My brother and I bought Perfect Dark without any trouble (in regards to the rating, tracking down a copy was a lot harder...I don't think I've walked so much in my entire life).

I agree that there should be a rating system and I wouldn't want any children of mine in the future playing GTA until they're about 12 or so. I think it's at about that age that kids are really thinking for themselves and they won't go and do anything because they saw it on a game or a movie. Still, some of the ratings stuff is pretty stupid. Down here in Australia, Mario Party 4, I believe, was rated G 8+, i.e. recommended for children over 8, because of, as it stated on the packaging, 'Mild Gambling References', I found that a bit strange.

Re: Age Ratings

I hate ratings! Baldur's Gate II: Shadows of Amn has hookers in it and it's only teen! (Although you can't find them without cheats) I had Doom when I was four or five! If I legally can drive a moped then I should be able to buy an M game!

I definitly agree with that Mr spork. My friends baby sister (4 years old) is a kickass player at GTA, she's better than most ppl i kno. Now THAT, scares me.

Re: Age Ratings

the ratings never bothered me much. i was always able to buy whatever game i wanted cuz either a) where i bought it they didn't care or 2) if they didn't sell it to me my parents would buy it for me when i asked.
