It sucks ass when you realize you cant use your SNES, N64 or NES because no one uses an S-Video Cable/Port anymore.

I might get Skyrim this week, its on special on steam, also Morrowind, Oblivion and Skyrim for 50$ is a great deal, anyone who doesn't have those games should jump on that.

All my old consoles work somewhat well on new TVs because I have radio frequency cables which are still used in modern TVs, but its still a little blocky because these consoles simply weren't made for these TVs. I prefer playing them on my old ♥♥♥♥ty tube TV sets.

I've only just recently played a lot of last gen's hidden gems and I've found about 98% of them live up to their reputations. Hell, even older stuff too. I never even heard of Monkey Island until the remake came out and now I'm in love with the series.

Monkey Island and Grim Fandango are Lucas Arts' best games, ♥♥♥♥ that Star Wars ♥♥♥♥.

If Lucas Arts were to remake the first 4 Monkey Island games and Grim Fandango in a collectors set I'd buy it day one even at 60$ because those are my favorite games ever. And I'm usually the person who's saying how much remakes suck. These games have to be re-released with modern PC functionality.

Anyone who hasn't played Grim hasn't played video games. Unfortunately most people can't play it so most people haven't played video games.

Monkey Island is not last gen. Monkey Island 4 is but, honestly, it's best to ignore that one.

This isn't just me being negative, this is the universally agreed upon worst Monkey Island game out.

Monkey Island 4 is better than the new ones. The graphic style was a little too ambitious for the time but other than that its awesome.

I consider it overlooked but not fantastic.

The plot was dumber than usual (unnecessary retconing and giant robots were face-palm worthy); Ozzy Mandril was completely uninteresting and unfunny (except for one scene involving insult sword-fighting with him which was hilarious, making me think that the whole character was thought up to facilitate that one joke), and it borrowed the only negative aspect of Grim, that is, the control scheme.

But I don't think it's fair that so many Monkey Island fans disown it like they do. It's still very playable.
