The Video Game Comparison Thread

Ok so the purpose of this thread is to compare video games to other video games. I'll start first.

Jak and Daxter to The Legend of Zelda Ocarina of Time.

1. Jak and Link are both mutes.

2. Navi and Daxter have big mouths.

Thats all I can compare :p

Mario & Legend of Zelda.
Both save a 'Damzel in Distress' on several occasions.
They never talk, they only hoot in excitement or grunt while attacking.
They're both nintendo icons (duh)
Both of their latest games were a dissapontment (WindWaker and Sunshine)

Sonic heroes and SWG

They suck.

Final Fantasy VII and Gold and Glory: The Road to El Dorado

They both have horrible graphics.

Starcraft and Tony Hawk's Pro Skater 4 - both are pointless.

Well, let's see... Yoshimitsu in Soul Calibur and Tekken are both robots with the same name... coincidence?

Everyone knows starcraft is one of the greatest PC games. EVER.

Goldeneye 007 [N64] and Perfect Dark [N64]

-Both are FPS [first person shooters]
-Both are made by Rare
-Both have incredibly awesome single and multi-player modes

Starcraft is a great PC game, I have never heard anyone call it pointless

Starcraft and Warcraft:
- Both are imaginary.
- Both are made by Blizzard.
- Both are a form of RTS.
- They have a similar storyline.
- Both have been around for a looooooooooong time and still going strong.

Who's that evil guy from Sonic? He seems to look a whole lot like Mario for some reason. It's like Sega's way of saying, "We don't like you Nintendo!"
Of course, that was ages ago when Sega was alive and strong...

Tomb Raider and Metroid Prime

-The main character in both games are women (and they are my fav women video game icons....sorry Ms.PacMan )

-They both have unlimited ammo (Lara=Pistols, Samus=blaster)

-They both have saved the world/universe over and over again

-They both travel a lot (Lara=the World, Samus=Space)

-They both have mysterious pasts

-Trouble seem to find them.

I am afraid you are mistaken on the yoshimitsu point, although clear they are basically the same character. The yoshimitsu is clear stated to be the last survivng memeber of his ninja clan in his profile, only his arm is mechenical.

I just said it to annoy you... but seriously, I'm not into Starcraft, I don't like that kind of games at all. Not everybody likes it.

Coincidence nothing. It's painfully obvious they're both the same character, they're both katana wielding ninjas belonging to the Manji tribe.

That is exactly right Jada. As for you William Zelda4ever, Soul Calibur 2 is a game that consists of playable characters from other games. If you think that Yoshimitsu in Soul Calibur 2 and Tekken are both robots with the same name, then you have to consider that Link in Soul Calibur 2 and Ocarina of Time are both Hylians with the same name....coincidence? As Jada well put it "Coincidence nothing". Soul Calibur 2 just took Yoshimitsu from Tekken so he could be a playable character. Now do you understand William Zelda4ever.

-Both have swords (Sword/Light Sabre)
-Both have to save the princess (Zelda/Really pale princess)
-Both have companions (Navi/RD 2D/other guy/Jar Jar)
-Both have a freak with a cape as an arch nemesis (Ganon/Darth Vader)
-Both have aquatic creatures that can speak (Zora's/Gungans)
