Get a new F-Zero on the Wii with some wifi action. That would be nifty

Re: F-Zero

I love F-Zero games. F-Zero X was fantastic for it's time, and GX just upped it's game.

I want another one. Although I couldn't care less whether it utilises the Wii's ****ty wifi.

Re: F-Zero

I know this is a ****ty post, but F-Zero is mind blowingly awesome.

I started playing the series back on my SNES, and I still play that game to this date. F-Zero X was ****ing sweet, and GX is still a damn good time. We need a new one, asap.

Re: F-Zero

I liked F-Zero X and F-Zero GX, so I would really like to see another F-Zero on Wii. But yeah, Wii's ****ty wifi will kill it's online capabilities, so better off without it, I think.

That makes no sense. Brawls online was crap too, but I still rather have it then not.

I only played F-Zero X, but I loved that game, so, yeah, a Wii F-Zero would be awesome.

Re: F-Zero

Mario Kart Wii's Wifi was pretty good. I was thinking put F-Zero on that kind of Wifi and it would be pretty solid.

GX was insanely awesome and quite easily one of the best racers ever.

Re: F-Zero

GX is my favorite racing game ever.

If they come out for one for the Wii, maybe they can implement some kind of cool, pilot stick controls here you hold the Wii mote like an aircraft stick in one hand, and hold the nunchuk kind of like a shifter. And of course, have "wheel controls" from Mario Kart Wii. And maybe we can also get that level editor that F-Zero for the 64DD had.

What F-Zero also needs, though, is revamped story and character design. I don't like playing F-Zero with other people unless they are also F-Zero enthusiasts, because I shiver in embarrassment at the characters and some of the machine designs.

Also, one problem that GX had was that it used Super Monkey Ball as a base, and the physics are horribly lame sometimes. Simply boosting down a track where said track flips upside down should not fling me into the depths.

Re: F-Zero

At the kind of precision most F-Zero games require, the Wii Wheel would be horrificly awful.

A want F-Zero for the Wii. It would be a hell of a lot better than Mario Kart, the only good racing game I've seen on the Wii...

Re: F-Zero

Yeah, I really think Nintendo underestimates the potential of this sereis. They could make a ton of money on a new F-Zero game. I have F-Zero X. I bought it during the seventh console generation and I still thought it was incredible.

I really wonder why Nintendo "dropped" this series. It never jumped the shark like Starfox did.

Have they "dropped" it? It seems like it's just on the backburner.

Re: F-Zero

I dunno. They haven't released a non-Japan exclusive in five years, and as far as I know, Nintendo hasn't said anything in regards to a new game. I guess you can't really say the series was "dropped" since there was eight years between F-Zero and F-Zero X, but still, it's about time they put a new one out there.

Re: F-Zero

I think F-Zero is currently being treated as a backdoor option sort of thing, unless Nintendo decides to introduce new IPs. I doubt 2010 will see any Captain Falcon action, but perhaps 2011.

I'd really like to see a new kind of F-Zero on the Wii, containing the unique and fun way of playing from earlier titles. I couldn't care less about story or characters, that is entirely irrelevant in a racing game. Unless they show the captain falcon-punching vehicles off the course.

Re: F-Zero

I remember playing GX back then. I just want to buy it and bring it to my friends over and over.

Simply put, GX was the greatest racing game I've ever played. The environments, the simple control, the hgh-speed adrenaline.

I loved playing as The Skull and Deathborn.
