PlayStation or Nintendo 64?

So, which is better; The Playstation or the Nintendo 64?

For me, it's a tie. I've been thinking a lot about which one is better lately but I just couldn't decide. I grew up with these systems and I loved them both equally. Both had really great games and features. But what's your choice? The PlayStation or the Nintendo 64?

Re: PlayStation or Nintendo 64?

Playstation.

I never had an N64 as a kid so I'm kinda biased. But the Playstation has a better library in my opinion. Still, they're both fantastic consoles.

Re: PlayStation or Nintendo 64?

Similarly, I only had the Nintendo 64, so naturally that's what I voted for.

However, I highly doubt that any game on the PlayStation could top the likes of Ocarina of Time and Majora's Mask, for me anyway. Also, who can forget Super Mario 64 and the Banjo-Kazooie games?

Re: PlayStation or Nintendo 64?

A tie. These are the greatest consoles that ever lived, and the experiences they provided are just too great. Nintendo 64's library was not as big as Playstation's, but it was incredibly rich. The PS1 games were, of course, too good to be true as well.

I was watching the playthrough of Tomb Raider II on youtube the other day, and I thought "damn, those were the ****ing days."

Re: PlayStation or Nintendo 64?

Damn, tough choice. I had both consoles, and excellent memories with them.

I'm siding with N64 though. Fond memories of Banjo & Kazooie, OoT/MM and DK64 don't really compare to most of my Playstation memories.

Re: PlayStation or Nintendo 64?

I've only ever played one Playstation game, but it was really really fun, so this is a tough choice for me. I'm gonna go with the N64 though, since I'm much more familiar with it and played more good games on it than the PS1.

Nintendo 64 by default, but that's just because it's the only one of the two I owned at the time.

Both have awesome games, so a tough choice, but I prefer the games on the N64 a bit more, so n64 for me.

Playstation.

I had both growing up, though I had the 64 long before the Playstation, but I had way more gaming fun with the Playstation. Far more. =]

Re: PlayStation or Nintendo 64?

The N64's library had a few classics, true, but there really isn't much of a contest; the Playstation was infinitely better. This passed on to the next generation, where the PS2 was the best console. As for the PS3, I'm sure that in the end the Playstation brand will, once again, prove to be the best out of the three.

Playstation. The N64 had five games that I liked a lot, whereas the PS1 had infinite amounts more.

Playstation. By miles. Nothing against the N64, but the Playstation just had so much brilliance; Oddworld, Final Fantasy, Legacy of Kain... good times.

Re: PlayStation or Nintendo 64?

Its a tie. Years ago i would have voted N64 but not now. I didnt get a Playstation until like 02 or something. Even still, its a great console. It has some of the most epic rpgs in the world on that console. N64 has great titles. I love them both!
