Yeah because graphics and online as well as age is what makes the games great, not gameplay and fun factor!

Yep! This is pretty much true.us Over 30 years of video game technology and we Just got into the 32-bit era. 128 bits and 60+ Fps are just dreams!

Valhelm, the poem in your signature is incorrect. Anyway, the Nintendo Sixtyfour is worth owning, because it still boasts an array of excellent titles, many of which have aged surprisingly well. I still enjoy a good game of ten-eighty snowboarding, for my part.

There are many games on the console I have yet to play or complete, so I am naturally a little jealous of you ShockT. Apart from the main titles which are obvious great choices (The Zeldas, Donkey Kong, Smash Bros, ect), I would also suggest Jet Force Gemini, Body Harvest, Space Station Silicon Valley and Bomberman Hero - great titles which I have not had the chance to complete yet.

Yes, I know the poem is incorrect. I've changed it because, in my opinion, it sounds better that way.

No, the Wii's graphics processor is 32-bit. The Wii's CPU is 32-bit. The DS and PSP are 32-bit. "Bits" mean nothing. The Snes' Sound chip was 8-bit and produced better music than the genesis 19 years ago.

Nintendo 64, great system! I have my 64 hooked up in my room and I still play it. In fact, I'm playing GEX 3 Deep Cover Gecko right now for it.

Re: Finally Got an N64 Today!

I think we have 7 N64 controllers. We had to get new one because games like Mario Party (the first game in particular) had these mini-games that wore the joystick out so it becomes loose, if you know what I mean. I'm sure many of you experienced it.

Ah, great system, great games, but I disliked the controllers.

I have this one, EU version. There was an Ash sticker on it too IIRC.

Re: Finally Got an N64 Today!

Bits don't mean anything. Its really the clock and bus speed.

What I'm waiting for is one of those third party hack consoles like the retro duo for the N64. Then maybe I can play those games without the ♥♥♥♥ty controller.

Be sure to get Goldeneye because that's one game that's not coming to the Virtual Console anytime soon. Probably the main reason I'd want to get an N64 again.

@Flornia Belmont: I looked up a Mischief Makers video. It was the fight against Mecro. I thought it was funny when he said "Dr. Smooth-Love!" That was funny! And it looks like an alright game. Who knows, I may pick it up in the near future.
Heh, yeah its a good one. Bizarre and fun as hell! Side scrolling weirdness.

Re: Finally Got an N64 Today!

StarFox 64 for under ten bucks? GET IT NOW! That's a steal!

I love the N64. I still have a big ol' box of games, and I still play them.
I wish I could find my old (or buy a new) memory pack, though.
I miss playing Rayman 2 (that game is ♥♥♥♥ing amazing on N64, get it if you don't have it). One time I played it without saving, and the farthest I got in one sitting was Whale Bay.

EDIT:

He's probably pretty young. Just as I think the NES is the best console ever due to me growing up with it, he probably has fond memories of the N64. The N64 certainly had some amazing games, but overall it didn't have enough decent 3rd party games and was fairly mediocre in my opinion.

You say that to someone who is 14 and probably started gaming somewhere close to the GCN era.
