Haven't played World of Goo?
You have no excuse. It is now you're last chance to pay WHATEVER YOU FEEL LIKE PAYING for this awesome game: http://2dboy.com/games.php .
It's a special one year anniversary thing. Only one more day to do it. Personally, I paid $5.00. Why? Because I wanted to give them profit, but still feel like I got a great deal. PayPal charges a fee to them for transactions involving money, so if you're going to pay something for it, pay at least above 30 cents. ![]() Seriously, jump on this deal while there is still time. ONE MORE DAY. Have a nice day. - The Sign Painter

You are now epic win. I loved World of Goo. It was so nice, I played it twice. This is definitely recommended. |

It took me forever to do it, but I did beat the game. I didn't know you could use skips until I used it on the two second-to-last levels. However, I went back to beat them, which took me another few days.

My game of the year, easily.
Well, I played it this year, at least.

Re: Haven't played World of Goo?
I got it about a week ago, and while I do enjoy it, I have to say that I don't think it's nearly as brilliant as people have made it out to be. In many senses it's simply a glorified Flash game, with nicer production values and a little bit of subtext and social commentary. The actual puzzles tend to be frustrating more than clever, with winning or losing often dependent upon tiny things, such as degree-perfect placement of goo balls, or the physics gods deciding to favour you. Overall it's not worth the $20 regular asking price, but as a $5 or $10 game (or 1 cent, if you're a cheap bastard), I think it's worth getting if you want a casual puzzle-type time-killer.

Oh, that's cool. All you need is a credit/debit card. No account needed. Look under the "get it!" button, it should say this:

Re: Haven't played World of Goo?
Love this game. Earth (yes, the original poster of this thread) bought me this game for my birthday and we played it together while he visited me last week. It was my second time playing it. The first time I almost cried. Maybe I'm just emotional, but this game was so unique. Yes, it did get frustrating at times, but it's totally worth it.

Re: Haven't played World of Goo?
Hmm, this is odd. The game will start from the insta-start after installation, but if I try starting it from the .exe or shortcut, it gets a stack error and crashes. I have to keep deinstalling and reinstalling it to play it, whilst moving my saves to a safe file. I mean, it's worth it because it only takes about 20 mins to download and I can easily listen to music whilst doing that, but it is damn annoying.
