Really great! I hoped that it would be released very shortly after the Wii came out. But it came out too late. Since i have the original Wii, im not thinking of getting this. Too much games on my list for 09 and 2010.

Anyway, I'm glad Ninty finally released the black wii. I already had mine painted while ago so this isn't exactly high on my list. A black wiimote would also be cool but I already have four of those

I don't see why anyone with a fully functional white Wii would bother getting a black one.

If they're released in Australia I'll definitely be getting one or two controller sets.

Meh, I'm just amazed at people with the mindset that the black Wii is something to "upgrade" to when it's clearly a way to bring in even more customers.

Honestly, when this is the biggest news that has come from the Wii side of things in a long time, I think you're going to have a problem.

This reminds me of that new Taco Bell commercial.

A black, bundled Wii? Sh**, I got my Wii too early.

No, I'm not getting this one. I already have Wii Sports Resort with the MotionPlus, and I'm happy with my white Wii. I think that the fact that it's bundled is more significant to sales than the colour, though.

Too bad that it's limited edition.

This is totally awesome! I should spend big bucks on a different color console.

COMPLETELY disregarding E3 2009 and everything that happened after.

Also, COMPLETELY disregarding the fact that Resort could very potentially be a very potent killer-app. I don't think that Nintendo has a problem.

Finally, Nintendo are releasing a different coloured Wii. I'm pretty sure this black Wii will be announced for the US relatively shortly, as black Wiimotes and Nunchuks have already been confirmed for the US, so the console should follow soon.

Who's going to be picking this beauty up? I'm definately getting mine on day one, as ever since we first heard of the Revolution way back in 2005 I loved the look of the black console. I'll be keeping my white Wii, as it's an original one from launch, and it survived SSBB rendering it completely unable to play any games, as well as the fact that the SSBB save file that I've poured so many dozens of hours into is non-transferrable from the console to an SD card.


Looking at the bigger picture, how do you think this along with the recent price drop and inclusion of Wii Sports Resort into the bundle will affect sales of the Wii in Europe during the holiday period? There's also the double-whammy of Wii Fit Plus on Oct 30th and New Super Mario Bros Wii on Nov 20th to factor in, which will both more than likely cause an increase in sales of the console. Do you think it's enough to cause the Wii to sell-out across retailers for another year, or will the slow decrease in sales as of late continue?

Told him black wiis are definitely coming to Europe/USA.

Hes very excited about it.
