Animal Crossing WW is one of the best games I've ever played.

Who else here has played this game? It is one of the absolute best games I've ever played. I remember it came out around December of 05? And I went into best buy and my dad bought it for me. I didn't lay it down for a good year or two. I hooked up with a punch of people and I loved when it snowed.

So tell me, who here thinks Animal Crossing Wild World is one of the greatest games of mankind?

P.S. I was thinking about buying City Folk, although I heard it wasn't as good, anyone got any opinions?

City Folk is a huge waste of money. Don't even bother. The game is such a terrible rehash that it's not even worth considering buying it.

Personally I feel that the GCN version was the best of the series. WW was fun for a while, and unlike CF, it at least added new features making it worth buying. However there were some changes that I just felt were unnecessary and ultimately made the game less atmospheric and less fun to play than the GCN version.

As much as I liked WW I still miss the train station and KK Slider playing his guitar infront of it.

City Folk is, I agree, a HUGE waste of money. Nothing is different except the city, which is overrated in this game. I always believed that Animal Crossing is a game that you should be able to check at least once every day and be able to play for awhile. I could only get that with WW because it was mobile. The GCN version and City Folk don't give you the opportunity to take it places so that you can check it and play it more.

But thats just me

City Folk sort of sucks compared to WW. As a standalone game it's fun, but there's not much difference from the DS one. The villagers get ♥♥♥♥tier to talk to and the city is a pretty big disappointment.

That bites. I was really looking forward to a new AC game.

Just cross your fingers that Nintendo will take all of the negative feedback from City Folk and make the next one a ♥♥♥♥ton better.

The problem is that the city was supposed to be pretty much the big selling point and after the first few trips, there isn't much to do there. They really could have expanded on it a lot further.

I only ever got into the original. By the time Wild World came out I was like, "I've already done all this. Boring."

But yeah, the original Animal Crossing is in my top 15 games ever.

Not to forget to mention that the city houses a lot of visitors that you had to wait for in the past games. Sounds nice at first, right? But it takes away from the replay value. Having Dr. Shrunk (or whatever his name is...) all of the time is nice, but it's pointless in the end when you still have the ridiculous limitation of four emotions at a time still.

For any improvement that CF made, it went backwards in another way. The good holidays from the GCN version are back, but they aren't anywhere near as fun this time around. We have four houses again, but the final house size is much smaller. (Seriously, Nintendo... WTF?) We can have a good amount of animals in one town again, but it's pointless in the end since they are even more repetitive than in WW, and you can't ask them to talk or for errands or anything. Plus getting close to them is even more pointless because the animal pictures are missing this time around. Sure animal pictures were not that big of a deal, but why remove them? With animals as repetitive as they are in CF it might actually be better that we don't have to work towards that anymore, though.

There were just a lot of questionable changes made in CF. The game actually went backwards more than it went foreward.

Bottom line: Stick with Wild World. Do not give Nintendo anymore money for CF. They do not deserve it.

Just ditch City Folk entirely and go play the original if you haven't already.
If you can't or refuse to get a hold of the original, City Folk is a decent game in its own right.

It's really only complete ♥♥♥♥ if you've played both previous games (and liked them both).

I really liked Wild World but the first one is the best. It has a number of more events, and I thought the neighbors burying things for you to find was pretty cool. Only think I wish it had was the Cafe' and the hair.

Re: Animal Crossing WW is one of the best games I've ever played.

I have so many memories from playing WW. I remember getting close to all the animals in my town and then getting sad when they moved. Then getting excited for the holiday events in the game. Definately one of the best games for the DS.

Haven't played City Folk, and I'm not really planning to either.
