That's a bit steep...not buying a game just because they are disabling party chat in a few game modes.

I'm glad to see that the multiplayer maps look much bigger than CoD4. There's also more diversity and uniqueness in the settings of the maps. I think the coolest looking ones are Afghan, the snow one, the airport one, and the one in rio de janero. Sorry that I don't know the names of the maps. More bad MW2 PC news

Not that anyone was still planning on buying MW2 for PC anymore anyway, but this interview has just made things much, much worse. The game will now only support 9v9 rather than 32v32,and in their tests they've had 100 ping. Considering that was under controlled conditions I am sure in real world tests it'll be much worse, especially for those in Europe. There's also no access to the console, no lean, host advantage as a result of the P2P system, and other fun things.

This is a direct console port, although it's hilarious that the guys at IW think that adding text chat, adjustable graphics settings, and customizable controls makes it unique lol.

2 more days to go... Anybody here score an early copy?

No. I reserved it though. Got em to gift wrap it and everything.

I reserved it today.

I asked the clerk how many reserves they have so far. He told me they got around twenty reservations today. I can imagine how cluttered the midnight launch will be.

I'm just going to have my mom pick it up on her lunch break on Tuesday. No way I'd get my parents to take me to a midnight launch, although that would be insanely sweet.

I got offered to go to the midnight launch, but i don't wanna go. I cannot even imagine how long it will take to get my copy of the game.

Probably a few hours. And not only that, but you'd have to deal with the yelling, the pushing, and all that other stuff.

Then again, it could be a nice experience, where you get to stand around and talk with other lovers of the game, and discuss what you are most looking forward too.

It could lean either way.

I've gone to a few midnight releases, Halo 3, Gears of War 2, WoW: Wrath of the Lich King and even the goddamn Wii.

None of them were remotely bad, and I ended up having a ton of fun waiting in line.

Anyway, who's gonna be picking up (lol, "acquiring")the PC version of MW2? Just getting back to the CoD series ( I used to play a ton of CoD3), so this is gonna be a whole new ballgame for me.

Damn, i wont be able to pick it up on launch day, aint going to get the time to play it either even if i did, however i am currently working at 'amazon' so i'm sure i'm going to see a lot of copies there in the next few days. The problem is they don't let us directly purchase it from the warehouse and they have it in stock right now. Damn amazon.

Why CoD3? Sure it was alright, but CoD2 was amazing.

There was no Russian attention, only Polish. CoD2 has an awesome Russian campaign. You seriously should get it. Also if you like playing Russian, CoD5 is pretty good, not the best but, it's okay.
