Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 2 Official Thread

So, in my excitement, I snagged the launch kit the moment it came in. Thought I'd share:



What's awesome is that the ammo cases were actually used by the US Military, so ammo that was once in this case is now lodged in the corpse of a terrorist. Awesome. Great for collectors. :>

Came with a bunch of MW2 shirts, too. I grabbed a couple to collect.... too bad they're so big. :/

I've seen the video, finally, and although 9/11 makes this a sensitive issue, I think people are exaggerating. There's no gore, and you can skip the part too. They should ban things like GTA before this.

^ Nice video. I'm so pumped for this game. Honestly though, people are making way too big a deal over the terrorist level. GTA is far worse for killing innocent civillians. Besides, the game isn't glorifying murder like GTA does, its setting the scene to show the intent and ruthlessness of the terrorists. People need to stop complaining and just play the game.

Is it banned in Australia yet?

I just found out about the highest killstreak reward. For a 25 kill streak you get a nuke that kills the entire enemy team including the player who set it off.

Well that's not very tasteful. I thought they were very anti-nuke, so it surprises me that they're offering it as a multiplayer bonus.

It's not an actual nuke, just a rather large missile, I think.

The yellow nuclear symbol flashes up during use if I remember correctly. I'd watch it again but the vids been taken down.

Okay, well after finally seeing the level. I can understand where people are coming from with the whole conscience matter. But it is still a game. It is not real at all. You're not glorifying terrorism and even if you were it still is just a game.

The promotional ad I posted earlier was taken down because of the line "Fight Against Grenade Spam" It caused some controversy because it translates to "FAGS".

Also, Modern Warfare 2 will also disable part chat in certain game modes.

Upon hearing this, I am seriously considering not buying this game. Party chat with my freinds, regardless of teams, is one of the funnest parts about COD4. If people are cheating, then they can be reported, or you can just leave the game and find another. No need to go ****ing overkill.

I've got an update on the party chat banning. It's only supposed to be in Hardcore Search and Destroy and Hardcore Team Deathmatch.

Oh thank god nobody plays those.
