Game Boy ROMs, Wii or DSi?

Why waste your hard-earned money downloading old games for the Wii or DSi when you could find them easily and play them on an emulator for free? (lulz)

I think it's an excellent idea that Nintendo has been overlooking. I'd gladly pay a small fee for the chance to play my favourite Game Boy games on my TV, or on my DS. Certainly this $5 a game nonsense we have going on now wouldn't be acceptable, but for $2, sure, I'd definitely buy Link's Awakening or Super Mario Land again.

The other major missed opportunity, of course, is not being able to download your games purchased on WiiWare to your DS. I know Nintendo is concerned about piracy, but the pirates are going to download their games off the Internet one way or another. I'd play A Link to the Past or Super Metroid way more often if I could take it with me.
