Considering the second expands a ton of all of that, I think it's worth it. 5 Campaigns (with, I'm pretty sure add-on content coming later), plenty of new multiplayer-type stuff, a ton of melee weapons, a ton of new guns, and new infected.

Well, maybe its just me, but I'm really looking forward to it.

Oh, and I really like Half-Life 2 and think its fun, and I don't even own it yet.

Considering how quickly Valve abandoned the first one, I doubt there will be much additional content before they move onto #3.

It's a pretty bad map for engies too, though at least they're better than spies in that they can set up sentries and dispensers on the CP.

Now that I think about it, I suppose an engie could rush the other team's stairwell, set up a dispenser by the window, and throw down a sentry on the roof so that it spawn camps the other team.

That would be the only case where a spy would be useful, but it'd be easy enough to switch to spy and sap that sentry real quick. You don't have to play spy THE WHOLE FREAKIN GAME.

Before Valve made the spy so much better I could see it.

We had people that raped so hard with spy, but once it got improved it was flooded with noobies and people started trying harder to counteract it and such.

Just one really good spy can make a close game easy.

Its another reason I don't want 2. Its been 1 year and Valve released 1 new, very short campaign and thats about it. It took awhile for them to release the authoring tools, when they said we'd have them by January or sometime close to that. It seems they really stopped caring about the first game, which makes me very hesitant to buy the second.

I actually really enjoy playing spy on Harvest. It's just a matter of using your wits. :p

Well, I guess The Godfather and Citizen Kane aren't amazing because they're outdated, too. Also, what's that game? Final Fantasy VII, I dunno. It's not amazing because it's outdated. Sorry, but a game that has no ending, that makes you "sidetrack" (A.K.A. FILLER BECAUSE THEY COULDN'T THINK OF ANYTHING) after every SNIPPET of story and who's praise is 50% a physics engine I never found to be as orgasmic and masturbatable as everyone describes isn't exactly going to be a big one on my list.

Did I mention the ending? Yeah. I'm pretty sure they backed themselves into a corner now after Episode 2.

For those of you L4D haters who say Valve doesn't give L4D 1 any support, well, you're right.

So instead, take this 1 GB 6 map custom campaign based on Dawn of the Dead.

OLD. I already have it.

It's hilarious though because even though it's kinda buggy it's still better than all of the Valve produced campaigns, possibly even No Mercy/Dead Air. And this is not an exaggeration.

I can't decide to preorder L4D2 or not.

I don't know if you recall, but the reason why the HL series was praised was for reworking the way that story is told within a first person shooter. HL2 worked very similarly (though wasn't quite as great) except that they ALSO focused on bringing forth a cutting edge, modulated physics engine which STILL doesn't seem dated, and is STILL doing some pretty cutting edge stuff, such as realistic facial movements in TF2, HL2 EP2, and L4D.

In fact, before VALVe even began writing the game they hired Marc Laidlaw to lead their writing team, who's works have been nominated for the Philip K. Dick award, World Fantasy Award, and he won the International Horror Guild Award.

VALVe also works closely with Old Man Murray, cowriter of the very acclaimed Pyschonauts, praised specificly for its story and script.

They've had the general plot written out since the first game, silly goose.

From what I can tell, downloading Left 4 Dead 2 from Steam gives you the uncensored one. I downloaded the demo, and forgot that ours was supposed to be censored until someone reminded me.

Yeah, I want something new in my zombie-killing game! Maybe they could like, I don't know... have more zombie types... or some new levels... or new characters... new game modes... how about a different story and setting? Oh wait.

I actually really liked the demo, and I've only had time to play through twice. And each time was, truthfully, a different experience. Different guns, infected, and other things. I personally can't wait to get the game.

Damn, if I preorder L4D2 I get a free Bill hat in TF2. Now I have to get L4D2.

I was just playing the Demo with a friend, and I'm really impressed with how much smarter the enemy AI is now. I was in the back of the cafe. My friends had came through there grabbing the frying pan but hadn't noticed that the door wasn't boarded up. I went ahead and opened the door just for a peek and a Jockey jumped me and pulled me out around the yard. He left me once I was incapped, and then a Spitter vomited all over my body, and a boomer covered me in his bile. This was expert, by the way, so I was so dead by the time the horde arrived.
