Exactly. It really is the most fun when you are playing with your friends. Public players are okay sometimes, but friends are where it is at.

I haven't found the Magnum in L4D2 yet.

The only place I've ever found it was after the jukebox cafe and just past where you jump over the fence.

Or I just think it sucks? The only reason I even got the game was because everyone I knew told me to get it. Nice try though.

Am I the only one who thinks that the first Left 4 Dead game is primitive and, without heaps of friends, completely unenjoyable?

I don't even find it enjoyable with friends, let alone by yourself with a bunch of random people.

Then there is something FUNDAMENTALLY WRONG WITH YOU.

I installed the game, and played it for a good two hours at night.

In all honesty, I wasn't really impressed. Then again, I might have to give it a 2nd try.

I'll have to download the demo on Steam instead of Xbox Live, since I'm not 18 yet.

Oh well, I've always wanted to try left 4 dead on my laptop.

I have to wait 2 days for the demo though, since I didn't preorder it.

If you've only played L4D on 360 and not PC, prepare to have your mind blown. :3

L4D's not that much better on PC than 360, really. At that point it just comes down to your preference of controls. It's not the same drastic difference PC TF2 has to its (terrible) console counterparts.

Maybe it's just me. I can't play FPSs on consoles. Save for like, GoldenEye. I've played Halo a few times on Xbox and 360 and it's like ♥♥♥♥ man, I can't do anything with it.

I got L4D shortly after it came out and played it for about a week. I guess I can see the appeal, but to me it just got incredibly old really fast. I don't see why people thought it was worth full retail price, I felt ripped off and I only paid $40. I've gotten into a talk with a friend about it before and they think that its the greatest thing since sliced bread. They even used story as a strong point.

In short, 5 campaigns, 4 guns and 4 types of enemies doesn't make a great game. Maybe if it had more then just multiplayer its price would have been a bit more justified, but as it is now, I don't think I'll pick up the second.

Also, Happy Frood, one thing PC has is the mods, one of the few saving graces I've enjoyed with this game.

I don't plan on getting any more Valve games for a console. I have the Orange Box and that's good enough. I actually ended up buying TF2 for the PC.

The problem that annoys me to no end is that for some reason there is just SOMETHING that bothers me about the aiming in any of their games on a console. As you turn it's like a slooowww start and then speeds up. This only happens within the timeframe of a fraction of a section but if you play the game for a while then you will notice this minor thing every single time. It's awkward and when you let go of the stick the sudden stop throws you off. It just pisses me off.

God damnit, one pyro on harvest is fine, but EVERYONE SHOULD NOT PLAY PYRO.

And ****, why are you playing spy on this map? THATS NOT HOW SPY WORKS, MISTER.

OH GOD WHY ARE SPAWN POINTS SO EASY TO CAMP GET AWAY FROM HERE YOU PYROS IM TRYING TO CAPTURE YOUR POINT.

Other than that, I'm liking harvest. It's a nice small map with a lot of action and decent amount of vertical space.

Same. I'd be better off playing with a touch pad than I would with one of those wobbly thumb sticks.

Speaking of which, I'm jonesing for some more TF2, but I don't have a mouse on me. Play with touchpad? (Y/N)

I've been in games where engies have created a need for spies on harvest_event. Granted a demoman or two could've done the same job, but it's the thought that counts lol.

To get the Gibus top hat I recently kept backstabbing a guy right when he was coming out of the spawn room. I didn't want to just be a dick and spawn camp him so once I got the achievement I stopped doing it to him... immediately after leaving the spawn room that is. ;P

The next round, and what happens? I'm invisible and he just walk right up to me when I'm hiding in a corner. He then proceeds to speed hack and run around the map chasing me.

All of this because of those hats.

Well, I guess The Godfather and Citizen Kane aren't amazing because they're outdated, too. Also, what's that game? Final Fantasy VII, I dunno. It's not amazing because it's outdated. Ocarina of Time showed it's age years ago; forget the timeless gameplay: that ****'s old, and therefore, no longer amazing. I just realized something: all classic games are outdated, and no longer amazing! Wow, you've opened my eyes to a whole new world.

I'm really excited to play it on PC, and it'll decide whether I buy it for PC or for 360. But, I shall prepare my mind. D=

Considering the second expands a ton of all of that, I think it's worth it. 5 Campaigns (with, I'm pretty sure add-on content coming later), plenty of new multiplayer-type stuff, a ton of melee weapons, a ton of new guns, and new infected.

Well, maybe its just me, but I'm really looking forward to it.

Oh, and I really like Half-Life 2 and think its fun, and I don't even own it yet.

I main demo, and with harvest in particular, the only sentries that can't be easily taken out at long range with the pistol or sniper rifle can be take out by stickies or pipebombs. (the ones that are placed in the corners of the CP barn.)

It's a pretty bad map for engies too, though at least they're better than spies in that they can set up sentries and dispensers on the CP.

Now that I think about it, I suppose an engie could rush the other team's stairwell, set up a dispenser by the window, and throw down a sentry on the roof so that it spawn camps the other team.

That would be the only case where a spy would be useful, but it'd be easy enough to switch to spy and sap that sentry real quick. You don't have to play spy THE WHOLE FREAKIN GAME.
