Modability, more focus on health rather than shields, and a decent pistol.

That said, none of them compare to Counterstrike 1.3/1.6, Team Fortress 2, Unreal Tournament 1, and Quake 3 when it comes to both fun and competitive/skill scaling.

And anything with automatically regenerating health (or shield) is retarded.

I liked the recharging health before Halo 2, when they cut the time it took to charge in half. Before that, you actually had to hide and wait. I also loved Halo more when there wasn't 400 other games trying to emulate its success.

Anyway, my favorite would be the original.

Battle Rifle says hi. It is literally the same thing.

Charging shields are good, because it makes every single fight fair.

Pistols are way more badass than the battle rifle.

The new ODST pistol is just sooo much better than the original. Sorry but it are fact.

Not really. The ODST pistol is only really good against larger enemies if you have an SMG or Plasma weapon to go with it. It can't really take out a brute by itself.

Well it does an amazing job at what it's supposed to. Headshots.

It just doesn't make sense to kill an enemy covered in a fully reactive energy body shield with a pistol.

That I'll agree with. It is more balanced, and the SMG/Pistol combo is absolutely amazing. It does it's job perfectly. I love the large clip, and the huge crowds of grunts and jackals are like "lol pistol to face".

But if I went against you, and I had the Halo: CE pistol, and you had the ODST pistol, I would win. In about 3 seconds.

Sadly, Halo 3 is the only one I've played.

The campaign was a total ***** at times, but it has, in my opinion, some of the best multiplayer ever!
(Crap, I kinda repeated everybody else in this thread.)

I voted Halo 3: ODST, even if I still not have completed the campaign.

I know that. I have my CE disk but I could never figure out that whole "3 shots" pistol thing for instant multiplayer kills.

I say Halo 2. Why? Because of the multiplayer (SP Sucks). Halo 1 bombs in terms of multiplayer, i don't have live so i can't get the most out of Halo 3. Halo 2 has balanced maps, good customization options and i have 4 orignal xbox conrollers so when lots of friends come over for party, i can dust off my Xbox 1 and play that.

I really hate how the battle rifle shoots. Plus, it's got a really slow rate of fire if you think of each burst as one shot.
