I was just thinking... you know how you love playing that old zelda/mario/whatever game for the NES  but it has the crappiest graphics ever  ? how would you guys like to see something like a link to the past redone with better, sharper graphics! it would still be in RPG view but it would have really cool graphics! it would be the same classic game(s) and the same classic game feeling but it would just have the graphics redone!!! even some semi-old PS and N64 games could be redone! then again it will probably turn out to be just be another half-baked idea...

They redo games all the time with touched up graphics. Take a look at the Mario Advance series for example. Personally, I like the old graphics on the old games. If I see a remake with better graphics, it freaks me out, because it doesn't seem like the same game I remember. Same with music.
I always like games in their original graphics. I can even put up with Final Fantasy VII's horrible graphics forever, they just seem right that way, it's kind of hard to explain.

Actually I prefer the orginal graphics with the game.
It's part of the whole retro gaming feel you have when playing it. Aside from that the game obviously doesn't need the newest graphics to be a great game.
So... no they don't really have to do that imo. Just let them focus on making good new games.

......they have that. 4 swords adventure for the gc

It's called a top-down view you fool, and Zelda isn't an RPG.
I always thought how awesome Super Metroid would look if it were rendered in 3D with the graphics of 'Prime...
But with Nintendo being the tight-asses trhat they are, it'd cost $100.
It might be hard to change the graphics, or not. Either way, people are used to the 2-d graphics. Going to 3-d graphics. Might screw up the game.
...Has anyone even heard of Zero Mission? Meh. Anyway, I'd like it more if more games were done this way. I can't stand NES games. No story, simple controls, graphics blow. Zero Mission was PERFECT. Someone here should play it. **rolls eyes**

I think they could get away with taking some classics (like the original Zeldas), tweak the storylines and re-do the graphics. It'd have the same levels, but much better graphics, gameplay and such. And of course they could expand on it all they want, just so long as they hang onto the same basic storyline. kinda like Zero Mission i guess.
