Behemoth Game #3 Announced for XBLA

No surprise that XBLA is the platform they chose, but at least the platform is official now!

If you don't know who Behemoth are, they're team responsible for Alien Hominid and Castle Crashers, both of which are fantastic side-scrolling beat-em up's with plenty of style and beautiful animations. This third game, which has yet to be named, is changing things up a little, while keeping the multiplayer aspect intact.

What you're doing in this game mode is chasing a golden whale around the stage to collect, well, gold from it, then depositing said gold into a safe. One good thing is that there will be multiple modes, unlike in recent titles where it's level-by-level progression or a button masher. Other modes he mentions are a territorial painting mode and a soul stealing death match mode.

All in all, it looks a lot different from what we're used to, but it looks like a whole lot of fun. You can watch more gameplay footage via the related videos section to the side of the video. It's supposed to be coming out early 2010.

Didn't like Alien Hominid at all, but Castle Crashers is one of my favourite games. Good to know the new one'll be out on a console I actually own.

How the hell does the Fulp have time to do this stuff? He made a game on Newgrouds, like, four days ago.
