10 Hardest Bosses Ever Faced

Post the 10 hardest bosses EVAH that you've faced in any game here.
My 10 (easiest to hardest) :
10: Hag-2 (Banjo-Kazooie 2)
9: Hades (Kingdom Hearts)
8: Dark Link (Ocarina of Time)
7: Shadow Queen (Paper Mario)
6: Safer Sephiroth (Final Fantasy VII)
5: Sephiroth (Kingdom Hearts II)
4: Xemnas (Kingdom Hearts II)
3: Luxord (Kingdom Hearts II)
2: Darksteel Dragon (Dragon Quest IX)
1: Xigbar (Kingdom Hearts II)
Sorry there's so many Kingdom Hearts bosses, but they were HARD, OK?!

I'm sorry, but all the Kingdom Hearts bosses besides Sephiroth were easy.

Omega Pirate on Hard.

I don't think I can name 10, but I can give a few in no particular order.

Xeromus from FF II (the original NA version of FF IV)
Giacomo Ayme and Fallon (Baten Kaitos)
Abbyssion (Tales of Symphonia)
Those are the only ones I can think of off the top of my head, but I'm sure I could give more.

No order specifically
1. Nelo Angelo fight 3(DMC1)
2. Vergil fighty 3 (DMC3)
3. Alma(Ninja gaiden 1, not the hardest, just the one I had the most trouble with)
4. Most SNK last stage fights
5.Seth/Gil/M.Bison(SF 4,3, alpha 3)

That's all I can really think of right now. Most of the stuff in the OP is pretty easy. Sephiroth in KHII was actually a really easy fight as well.

...wow. These lists so far haven't quite been what I was expecting.


Here's mine, in no specific order:

Alma-Ninja Gaiden (xbox). She was fast, and did insane amounts of damage for the player making even a slight mistake. That and she was really hard to hit if you didn't know the trick.

King Blue- Viewtiful Joe. Having beaten the game on ultra V, I can vouch for how crazy this fight is. He fills the screen with crap and he took a third of your health in one hit. Attacking him required precision and the ability to wait.


Virgil (3rd time)- Devil May Cry 3. HE TOOK MORE THAN HALF HEALTH IN A SINGLE COMBO.


How can I forget fighting game bosses?

Shao Kahn (MKII): ****ing unfair. period. He could get an easy infinite in the corner with his shoulder rush walked alot faster than you and didn't really flinch from attacks. do the math.

Akuma (SSFII turbo)- You died in three hits from him and he had an air-fireball. Which at the time, was insanely unfair.

All SNK Bosses. Just pick one.

Gill (street fighter 3 third strike)- Longer reach than you. More health than you. Faster than you. Did more damage than you. Had more priority than you. Best footsie in sreet fighter history. The cheapest super in street fighter history. Gill was literately godlike.

Carlito #2 on a low level on Dead Rising.



It took me like 3 hours to beat him, and that was by spamming him with HOCKEY PUCKS in a weird-ass angle...

ARGH, DEAD RISING. **** that games bosses.They weren't even fun. Just cheap as all hell.

An accurate list of the most difficult bosses of all time would be made up entirely of arcade games.

Console games are easier than arcade games by design.

Weird cyborg uh...thing- House of the Dead 1.

Every boss in R-type 2 and most of the ones in 1.

they really go without mention sense arcades are meant to be stupid hard in order to get you to put more quarters in the machine.

Gary from the original Pokemon games. (First play through I ever played of Pokemon.)
Tyrant from Resident Evil 1
Every form of William Birkin from Resident Evil 2
Every form of Nemesis from Resident Evil 3
Ultimecia from Final Fantasy VIII
Safer Sephiroth from Final Fantasy VII
Sephiroth from Kingdom Hearts 1. (Took me over 40 tries to beat him. )

1. Ike (YES HE WAS A BOSS. There was one chapter in FE10 where you're actually put against him, and he's tougher and harder than diamond!)

The End in Metal Gear Solid 3. He was the only boss in the whole game I just couldn't beat. Now he is easy, but the first time I'd be looking for him only to have him pop up behind me and shoot me. Was such a pain in the ass.

It's not really a boss but the end of the 2nd sniper mission in Call of Duty 4. When you're waiting for the helicopter. That just seems impossible for me. The rest of the game I can beat on any setting. But not that. I don't even think I've done it on Normal.

Oh the last pearl of light bug in TP. That thing killed me I think 7 times. I didn't know what the heck to do to kill it. And nothing worked. All the other bosses were easy. 1, maybe 2 tries to kill. But that just slaughtered me. (Being in wolf form didn't help any though).

That's my top 3 (in order from hardest down) and that's really all I've ever found all that hard. Well at least that I couldn't/can't get the hang of after a few deaths.

Edit: Oh Crystal you reminded me of another one. Golbez in FF um 4 (the one that got on the DS just a year or so ago). That bastard kicked my ass soo many times it's sad. In fact he is the only boss ever to make me put my foot through the wall. Something I'm not proud of, but still thing is pretty funny.

I thought that one boss from Dead Space that looked like you were fighting inside a frontloading washer was pretty hard...

No, TMC was easy except for Vaati, who was quite a challenge for me. The FE games are challenging for me as well.

The Zelda bosses you listed were easy, though that might be because I've played ALttP a lot when I was a kid.

Really? He was easy. Even with Barrier shift.

I've really only had a difficult time with one boss. The Wily Machine from Mega Man 7. Good God, this fight took me hours to beat.

She was cake!

Ashnard on hard mode is scary scary scary stuff.

Also yeah BK from FE9. Ill agree there. I have issues with that.

Abyssion from ToS is pretty hard.
Shadow Queen from TTYD was hard, but really fun!
Dracula from Order of Ecclesia. hes hard but fun too.
