I have had this questions since the day I found this site.

Couldn't Zelda Universe be sued for copying the name from the Official Zelda site? (Zelda.com)

It's title is Zelda Universe. And it obviously came first.

Nope, their site didn't come first. ZU was launched in 2001, while Zelda.com was launched in 2003 and took our name.

They could technically sue us or other fansites at any time for using their images and stuff, but it would just be a really stupid thing to do because we are free advertising for them. :3

So if they sued us we'd countersue, or vice versa. But that is the official Zelda site, and they could still say that and probably sue us with the power of Nintendo.

They could do any number of stupid things to alienate their fans if they wanted to, but so far they haven't. :3

it would be quite dumb of them to sue this site. I hope they do something good with zelda, the crap they have been pumping out lately is alienating me already >.>

Don't forget it just wouldn't be worth the money. I can't think of a single thing that would be gained in a legal battle.

Lazy Nintendo of America hasn't updated that sight since PH came out, except for one video of Spirit Tracks that everyone's seen already. There's still a "Countdown to Phantom Hourglass!" timer on the front page. Lame...
