Stereotypically yes. The jock treats ther girlfriend as if it's his territory and no one else can do anything or talk to her.

However, if the girl is dominant in bed, well....

It wouldn't matter, becuase you love them.

Why does it matter who wears the pants in the relationship?

I've seen plenty of couples work everything out just by being together. Take my Dad and my Stepmom, for instance. Neither of them wear the pants in my family, but they work everything out together as a team, and get everything done.

Bottom line is, it shouldn't matter who's dominant in the relationship, as long as everybody's happy.

I personally dont think theres anything wrong with a female wearing the pants in a relationship if that is what works for that particular couple. My take on this is that males should always atleast try to be more dominant. I think this can be dangerous -- since some guys don't get to lead in a bigger environment, leading in isolated relationships can be irritating since they're inexperienced.

In the same way, there is also a tier of dominance among females -- so all relationships will have a different balance of ideas for control because of comparative control.

Me and my partners tend to be quite passive anyway, and I think some people might find my super-relaxed attitude to life kind of annoying, there's rarely a cause to lead that has been urgent enough that it couldn't be solved with a democratic council between us.

I lead, but I listen? I think it's important with any community, and ridiculous when it doesn't happen in one with but two people.

I'm basically submissive; I enjoy my autonomy but honestly I'm pretty clueless and I'd rather let someone else take the lead role. Frankly, I'm not sure if it would really work any other way for me. Of course, that doesn't mean that I'm totally passive either, and I certainly want my voice to be heard, but my primary goal is to be happy, and I receive happiness from pleasing others.

I usually like to be the dominant one, it's in my genes >=)

But that being said, I also want a girl that isn't submissive either. Weird, I know. I don't want a girl I can boss around easily, but I still wanna be the boss.

It does look kinda weird when the female takes charge over stuff.
But I guess it doesn't really matter.
