Live forever or die at 65?
Would you rather live forever, but no one you knew would live forever with you, or die at a exact date and age of when you turned 65(example for me: March 30th, 2059). The thing about dying at that age is that you would know about it too.
I would rather live forever, see how people advance through society. If we evolve. What we create in the future. Stuff like that. Explain what you would pick and why. Then tally it up. Live Forever: 1 Die at 65: 0

Re: Live forever or die at 65?
I'd rather live forever. People always say that they would die at a certain age no matter what, but there's so much to be learned and discovered in the future, that I don't see why someone wouldn't want to live forever?
And if you're going to do voting, then why didn't you add a poll? |

Live forever, for pretty much the reasons you stated, Dr. See how mankind progresses, what we create, what we evolve into and how long it takes, and just in general have time to experience and do things. And just to learn more. Maybe even eventually use that knowledge to become rich and/or famous.

Re: Live forever or die at 65?
As far as forever goes, does this mean I can't die at all or that if I were to play my cards right I could see the year 9999 without a problem?
Because I find the idea of living forever in such a state more terrifying then my own death. I mean as much as I would love to see how society evolves over the ages. See what technology brings, I think that if dying was impossible, then I would rather die at the age 65. |

Re: Live forever or die at 65?
65 is 12 years below the life expectancy of the average American, and it's 15 years below the life expectancy of my state. That was part of the reason why I chose immortality.

Re: Live forever or die at 65?
when i say forever,i mean nothing can kill you. at all. even if the world is destroyed, just you would be floating around. maybe a few other people around the world would be immortal too, then you could start a new race of people on another planet.
and just think about how much just you, if you could live forever, could do. you could explore the very bottom of the ocean and find new life without dying. you could be launched into space into far away galaxies without a problem(not counting the time it would take to do that, seeing that everyone else that started the project would be dead when you came back). you could actually see the inside of the earth. it would be amazing.

Re: Live forever or die at 65?
65, easy. I couldn't stand living forever. There's gotta be an end. Too much of anything is a bad thing. Besides, by the time I'm 65, it's possible I could not only get over the fact that I know exactly when I'm gonna die and it's long enough to live a good complete life. I mean, forever? Not. Cool.
