Do you believe toast can ever beat pancakes?

If you ask me, even if toast has cinnamon on its side, it can't hold a candle to a damn good pancake. Waffles are disqualified from this contest because they have sectors.

It's a difficult question. Toast has the ability to be great all by itself while a pancake is more of a team player.

Now hold on a second. If we're talking about breakfast foods, then we have to recognize the one part of this meal that all others must stand back and look at in awe.

I thought toast had already won the battle. Especially since french toast is part of the family.

I don't find breakfast the least bit exciting. By far my least favourite meal of the day. I've allways had this kind of view of disgust towards pancakes. Even reading the name makes me queesy.

You have to marvel in the wonder of toast though. Especially white bread, toasted lightly, with nary a sprinkle of anything to hinder the divine taste.

If you think about it toast is broken up into two inequal sectors: The magic, crispy on the outside, gooey on the inside mid-section and the crust (bleh).

I voted for toast, but only because I believe that french toast is widely more delicious than pancakes will ever be.
