Nothing wrong with that centipede, he wouldn't hurt you even if he tried. Couldn't penetrate the skin.

Camel Spiders are more akin to scorpions, btw. Still, I wouldn't want to touch one.

Down here the biggest spiders we get are these little freaks.
I hate these so much, because they build their webs in inconspicuous and well-traversed areas.
And they show up right when all of the cockroaches go away.

And the little spider can't hurt you either, I suggest. It's too small. A bigger and more dangerous one could, but this little fella... But I don't know too much about spiders' danger.

Pretty much this exactly.

I was getting in the shower one morning, and i saw a shadow under the shower curtain, so i moved it, and noticed the biggest spider i have ever seen (in real life, so not including TV, books, etc.) I had already started the water, so when i jumped to get out of the shower, i slipped and put a hole in the bathroom door...
Point is, I avoid these things at all costs, even to the point of stupidity. I can't help it, i'm acrachnaphobic... Even pictures get me. So gross.

I am so freaking scared of spiders. I didn't need to know about that massive spider in QLD, I LIVE IN QLD!!!!!

Spiders and Centipedes (/Milipedes) are really quite interesting, and more often then not, harmless should you not decide to f*** with them.

Course these modern day bugs are light weights...



Example, an ancient Millipede, though only its remains, but you can imagine its many, many squirming legs ending in jagged points as its antenna flail about and its pincers close and open like some sort of sick, biomechinical machine, all the while it crawls across the floor dragging its many segments over and over, curling into a ball of jagged insectoid armor!



Not to forget this ancient beauty, though you wouldn't know it from the picture, this beautiful scorpion grew bigger then a human! This ancient scorpion is a mervelous beast with the pincers it users to sever flesh, all these armored bugs are really quite interesting.

Though I've always have a fear of parasites, not a major one but they do freak me out; especially the ones like this:



Spoiler: This lil parasite replaces the tongue of this fish, and in fact takes its place and becomes the tongue!

Remember this when you decide to go off to sleep.

Mmmm tasty. So where does the tounge go? Does the parasite attach itself to it, or does it eat the tounge and attache itself to the mouth?

Yeah once upon a time, the world was populated by bugs and arachnids so large its mindboggling. Something about a spider once existing that was roughly the size of a dog?!

Also that last icky pic reminds me of the penis fish. i dont know if its the same thing though since the penis fish resembles a fish more.

ewwwww Milipedes!! im pretty sure they are harmless but man they are nasty bastids!

FACT: You could have one of these in your intestines right now, and not even know it. They can get over 75 feet long in humans.

Nobody lives in the south pole on a perminant basis. Even then: hitchhikers. =P Spiders can stow away in pretty well anything, and since some stuff needs to remain heated, they just chill there. Oh look, I made a pun.
