My appearance? Well, to be honest, I didn't start appreciating my appearance until a few years ago. Before that, I thought I was the ugly-but-at-least-you're-smart girl. I always covered my self from head to toe in baggy clothes because I hated my body and tried to get rid of my curly hair because I thought it was a mess. I came to this conclusion for several reasons, some including lack of boy attention, so-called friends who'd put me down to make themselves feel better, what I saw in magazines/television/movies, having two younger, gorgeous sisters that people would go "Oh! They're so pretty! ... Liah's the smart one, we know that (:" <-- xDDD I can laugh now about it, but back then I was all D: waaaaah, no-one loves me, I'm an emotional teenager and the world thinks I'm fat waaaaaaaaaaah.

Now, I do take pride in my appearance. I love my curly hair and I let it out most days. I wear dresses mostly, love toying with makeup (not to the point where I look like a plastic clown xD, but Lord, do I love eye makeup), love jewelery, appreciate my bellydancer hourglass figure, know what clothes suit the shape of my body, and am not shy to bust out the two piece while on the beach. And there's nothing wrong with being comfortable and confident in your appearance. Of course, there's a line when it comes to being too absorbed in yourself and being arrogant xD, but I don't think that's how I view myself. It's not something that plagues my mind constantly, what I look like, but it's not something that bothers me either. I'm not afraid to roll around in the mud, mess my hair up, walk outside without makeup on, get a bit sweaty. I've got what I've got and that's fine with me.

Ugh, it's hard, isn't it? I just wonder how other people view us, do they see us like they see us in pics, or like we do in mirrors x)

You know it's kinda like a curse, my mom and this girl I'm sorta dating constantly want to take pics of me.. Now I can shout at my mom, but I'm defensless against this girl. I usually just take the cam off her and start taking pictures of her or us. She really tends to shove that thing in my face -_-. She's lucky she's so attractive to me.

You know, I think it's the flash man, I think thats what makes us look ugly in pics.

I totally agree. I find that turning off the flash helps a lot, especially if you're taking pictures of your face. It's still not enough to make me photogenic, though. Whenever I need a current picture of myself, for whatever reason, I usually take about a hundred of them until I'm satisfied.

And I usually am, by the end of it.

I used to be chubby in middle school, but I shaped up in high school and got much taller. I'm pretty confident about my body, since I get compliments about it a lot. I get a few looks at the gym from the ladies, and a few random girls start conversations in the elevator.
So yeah, I'm confident, but I do also have moments where I think I don't look good.

I think I look good standing still. Man do I hate the way I move though.

Generally, I think that I'm unattractive, albeit not downright ugly, but I guess if some others think that I do look okay, then that's fine with me... even if I don't necessarily understand it.

People call me ugly all the time. but they're usually my friends so i don't take it too seriosly cause i think i look fine. They have their opinions and i have mine. I don't care what people think.

In my younger days, I hated how I looked like (and others shared the same opinion as I had) and was afraid to look like that all my life. Ever since my facial hair started to grow, I started to like how I looked like. As for now, I think I'm just normal looking. And I don't mind. People talk to me more, meaning I don't scare them away anymore =O
