The Sims: ZU

So, while not actually playing the Sims ten minutes ago, and just glancing over at the disc, which is sitting on my desk, I came up with an idea that might be kinda fun.

Someone (Pani) make a Sims 3 house, and load it up with ZU members, let us loose, and take screenshots/movies and commentate on our antics.

Just have a sign up forum, where members can post their picture, desired clothing styles, goals and traits to be used for their character, and viola. I'm sure it'd be a good deal of work, but it really wouldn't be all that hard. I can imagine some hillarious things happening. :o

But Sims 3 only allows for 8 people in each house.

Anyways, cool idea! Good luck finding someone crazy enough to try to put it together.

Holly mentioned she was making a ZUville on the Sims not too long ago. I don't think it's on 3 though.

Me, Holly, and Red were actually talking about this on MSN the other day.

I'll take a crack at it when I get around to getting The Sims 3. I'll probably get it before I leave for England on the 2nd.

I can't imagine people's actions in the game will be very indicative of their actual mannerisms.

Actually, you can't copyright an idea at all. Only the physical result of it.

I don't have the Sims but can I still join or whatever?

Oh, Sims 3 could make excellent caricatures of members (Cody could be an Evil, Ambitious, Hates the Outdoors, Clumsy, Childish sim, for instance. )

But...it doesn't really do well with you running a whole neighborhood, since you can't actually control more than one family very well.

So we'd have to decide: Do we chose 8 members only? Or do we put many members, but divide them into households?

It's not called Zelda Universe for nothing. ;P

I know, hence the slash. But otherwise it wouldn't make sense in this situation.

Since I have become completely engrossed in the world of Alice and Kev, I think this is pretty much the greatest idea ever, and one I would even do or help with, if there was even a small chance of me getting The Sims 3 (which there isn't).

You could do that.. maybe divide them into specific neighborhoods. Then again there are those who aren't in clans too.
