I would suggest taking some Vitamin D pills. Some form of multi vitamin at least. I have the same thing (from gaming too much and health) and the docs got me on 50,000 units a week. It would be better for you and would keep it in your body rather than just adding it when you're low.

See you're at least lucky in that you look hot pale. Some people (like me) just look like death when we're pale. (I'm being blunt I know, sorry )

Re: How do you honestly feel about tanning?

Annyyyywayyyssss. *coughTAKEITTOPMGUYScough*

I like natural tans. And when I say natural, I mean tans that come to people when they don't even aim for it. For instance, people who play a lot of outdoor sports will normally have a natural tan, cause they're running around a field all sweaty and could probably careless about how they're getting tanned right now. Or outdoorish people, who go camping, hiking, moutain biking, etc, and just get a tan naturally.

I don't really mind conscience tans either; although it can be a bit too much.

Tan lines as far as I can tell. I don't really mind it too much really. Gonna happen.

I dunno, I find tanning in general to be extremely unsightly, but a farmer's tan's no different than a full-body tan, really.

Re: How do you honestly feel about tanning?

Tanning.... eh. I don't really mind it when people naturally tan, but there's just something weird about somebody who you know is naturally light-skinned getting a tan... they don't look right. Usually, people who are dark skinned have a facial structure that goes with it. Yeah.

I was dark almost all my life, but then I became very light for some reason. I don't tan or sunburn, so I guess I'm light now. Either way, I don't care. I'm not going to go and sit in the sun or a tanning booth, though. For one, I do NOT want to risk skin cancer. Some people get it, some people don't, but I'm not about to try to fake my skin color just to please people who happen to like dark women.

Besides... I think light skin is rather pretty. No, I don't really like the freckly light skinned look... it's icky to me. I also don't like how some people who are light skinned have a pink color... ick. But plain light skin? I think it's lovely, especially with brown hair or eyes. I don't so much like the whole light skin/blue eyes/blonde hair thing. But something about the contrast of light skin and dark eyes/hair is pretty to me.

In any case, I also think that tanning has negative effects for everybody. Ever see older people with tans? Their skin looks like leather. Gross. On top of that, it causes wrinkles. I'm not going to go out of my way to avoid the sun or anything, but I'm not going to lay in it for hours or neglect to apply sunscreen.

I like it when a girl has dark skin (but not too dark) and really light eyes.

Re: How do you honestly feel about tanning?

Both tanned and light skin can look good. The quality of the skin is more important than the color.

Tanned skin is more eye-catching, but when everybody goes for it, it can get boring and a paler look becomes refreshing.

I think the tanned look also gives the impression of athletic fitness. It just looks healthier most of the time. When you see a tanned person, you might subconsciously think they spend more time outside (which isn't necessarily true--genetics and fake tan are also plausible reasons, but that doesn't matter).

As most people have said, there comes a point where a tan becomes excessive and starts to look bad. Where that point lies depends on both the individual and the observer.

Obviously they are different or we wouldn't bother to distinguish the two. What you probably mean is that they're equally good in your book, which is fine, but sort of odd.

Some people look good with tans, some don't. However, an overtan is always a turn-off for me. I like pale girls.

Re: How do you honestly feel about tanning?

I used to go tanning. I thought it looked very good on me because of my naturally dark hair and inability to burn.

Then I heard about skin cancer.

And now I'm white.

Re: How do you honestly feel about tanning?

The last time I used a tanning bed was for prom, last month, and I only went four times (every two days) to get my perfect tan. That's all I needed. And it lasts a good 6 - 8 months.

I dislike when people look like carrots. It's just, why do you want to do that to yourself? The worst is when they put creams or foundations on and just.. Ugh.
I, thankfully, don't burn when I tan. My face gets tanned in the winter (when it's super sunny outside and all the sun is reflecting off the snow) and then I get tanned in the summer to match it.

My mom lives 2 minutes away from a beach, so in the summer, it's very tempting. I personally think I look better tanned. So I'll go and make sandcastles or go swimming and such. Much more fun than just laying in the sun on a towel. So boring -_-

That's exactly what I meant, I figured it went without saying.

I almost always wear a shirt, so it's not exactly easy to find out if my tan is a farmer's or not.

If anything, I prefer farmer's tans because they ARE natural, if someone would fake a tan, they wouldn't fake a farmer's tan, so it just appears better all around.
