As for it being awesome I think somebody already took my line. Something about buckets It's got nothing on my Mech designs. You know other than the being built part.

Damn he used hydraulics. Hydraulics are sensitive in a battle field and are open to leaking and shell fragments. Now I feel the way to go would be servos. But I have no idea the power they take or the power they put out (and if they make them big enough and can be made big enough). Still mostly I'm just filled with envy about his awesome mecha vs my book filled with blueprints that will never get made.

That makes me really excited. I've always wanted to see a Gundam in a city. If only for size reference. (I know how tall they are from books etc, but it's not the same).

See this does protect it from shell fragments etc but it doesn't protect it from leaking under stress. Hydraulics are something I just don't quite trust enough. They're the best thing out there, but not combat ready to me. They brought up all the short comings with hydraulics in a combat situation on modern marvels : Hydraulics.
