Does anyone here play Go?

And if so, at what level? I've started recently and it's really fun but it's hard to find people who'll invest the time to actually play a whole game.

PS: for anyone who doesn't know what Go is, it's an ancient asian board game which has incredibly simple rules but requires an insane amount of strategy. Chess computers can challenge Grandmasters, but Go computers can, at best, play at a high amateur level. It's SOMEWHAT similar to Othello/Reversi, but way deeper.

Yeah, that's it! Naruto!
It's like a Japanese version of chess or something.
But I just can't be bothered to play it, or even buy it.

You don't have to buy it; there are sites where you can play it online for free. I play at http://www.online-go.com/ myself, but there are loads of other sites.

I played it a lot growing up. Now I can't quite get into it. Just like Chess I need a computer application

It's what the series "Hikaru No Go" is built around.

And yes, I have played Go before. It's just not that fun to me. I'd rather play chess or minesweeper or solitaire or something.

I've read Hikaru no Go but the game itself doesn't interest me.

Cool. One problem: I can play chess, but not Go.
And I haven't read Hikaru No Go yet. I read a lot of Naruto and a character plays it. Or was that Shogi?

ive been playin since i was small, my dad used to force me and i loved it already after the first go =)

I haven't played it but I've seen it being played. Wouldn't mind learning it.

Personally I love chess and never turn down a match. I'll play Go if any of you guys are willing to learning to teach me :p

I'll teach you! Well, the basics, I mean... I'm still only 23 kyu myself, so I'm definitely no 'master strategist'... yet.

You're talking about Shikamaru, right? I think that was Shogi that he played.
