Re: Who here has real swords?

I don't collect swords, but...

I have...or will have very soon, actually... A naval officer's sword. Sometimes, it's fun to be in NJROTC.

Re: Who here has real swords?

Not a chance... my parents would never let me get a real sword. And even if they did, I probably do not have enough money for one anyways, and what would I need a sword for? It is not like I would have a use for it. I have no where to put it, so it is useless even as a decoration. I probably will not be getting a sword, a real sword, anytime soon.

Re: Who here has real swords?

I don't have any swords, but I do know alot about how swords are made and all that sort of thing. The only sword mentioned here that is a real sword is the 400 year old Katana that Kedisar mentioned. All the others I assume are stainless steel display swords that aren't really actual swords and are pieces of steel that just look like real swords, but are not.

Re: Who here has real swords?

I don't, though I wish I did. My friend has like three though. He has two kantanas, and an old styled Chinese sword. They are so awesome. I like to unsheath them, and do some different strokes with them. It is very fun.

Re: Who here has real swords?

Well my friend and i actually are starting to collect swords. He is into the japanese swords so he has a couple of katanas and one long, samarai sword. Im into the english, medieval swords so i got an english broad sword, an english one handed sword and a two handed, long bladed sword. They are not sharp though because such things are not permitted sharp in Australia unless you have a good reason why.

Re: Who here has real swords?

I recently bought a "crappy display" sword. Actually, it's almost a dagger, but it's too long to be a dagger, so a short sword I guess? I almost bought some actual sowrds, but a few factors stopped that.
1. I had to be at least 18 to get some
2. I have a younger brother who I know would cut himself with it.
3. Even if 1&2 didn't apply, I didn't have enough money.
But my sword that I bought is actually sharp, but only at the tips. My friend accidentally got a cut on the palm of him hand when it was still in the box.

you're so damn lucky!!! I despite you!

I wish I had a sword! It would have to be a ninja sword or a big medievil sword. Too bad I don't have enough money for them. But maybe YOU could give me a sword. I do have staffs though.(if you call a metal broomstick, a wooden broomstick with black tape covering it, and some sort of meatl tube that can split into 2 {my double staff as I call it.}staffs)

Re: Who here has real swords?

I love swords. I love collecting them. My favorite would have to be the LOTR replica of the sword used in the third movie. I want to know if you can buy a Master Sword. If anyone can show me where to buy one i'd like that alot. I've seen the site with the replica, but was it for sell?
