Dyspraxia

Okay, so a few yeas ago, I was diagnosd with dyspraxia. Dyspraxia is a condtion much like dylexia or ADHD. Dyspraxia is a life long illness and cannot be cured. There are lots of different symptoms, and each person has very different symptoms to other people. The symptomss of dyspraxia can be found here http://www.dyspraxiafoundation.org.u...d_symptoms.php. Some of the symptms are a lack of rhythm when dancing, doing aerobics, tendency to fall, trip, bump into things and people and Poor posture and fatigue. Difficulty in standing for a long time as a result.

I am really clumsy a lot in school, and I fiddle around with my pens alot, I am also rubbish at any sports. I cannot even tie my shoe laces properlly because of it and I am 15. Another thing that surprised me is that daniel radcliffe ( harry potter) also has dyspraxia. I just anted show people and is there anyone else here on ZU that has it?

Re: Dyspraxia

This would probably fit better in GCC.

I've heard of it, but never learned all that much about it until now.

Re: Dyspraxia

You're not alone, bud.

I in fact have it too, but I ain't gonna let it stop my stride. I think my condition of it is pretty mild since I'm not very clumsy, but I do tend to get exhausted easily when doing simple things, like writing a letter or brushing my hair.

Ah, well anyone who has it will always have different levels of it...

Not sure what else I can say about Dyspraxia, since I tend to completely ignore mine.

But seriously, while you say that this condition can't be cured, are there are forms of therapy for it? I know that people with dyslexia can often overcome it, at least to a certain degree.

There's usually therapy for any mental disorder. My brother has autism, and he's improved a lot with therapy.

Affects my writing: I'm 16 and I write like a six year old.
And I'm really, really off balance.

Here's a good tip from an old ZU Friend: Don't let your disorder or whatever as an excuse for your stupidity or laziness.

Only ignore Snow Storm if you're not mature enough to handle a true, valuable piece of advice.

think about it- some people would use a disorder like that to get pity or be an excuse. But other people with a disorder take it as a challenge and become very accomplished at other things.

No. It was not a joke. I was being serious this time around and the fact ever since I turned 20, I took an oath to myself to slowdown on my trolling. Seriously, I seen people using their disorder as an excuse.
