Arbitrary stapling-on of race issue aside, yikes. While I wouldn't advocate taking the law into one's own hands in every situation I'm pretty sure in that one it is okay. Especially since there was a child involved. How old was it?

I'll have to agree with Radek here. That could have been anyone assaulting the woman and child.

Now, as for the last part of your post: I never really witnessed any real injustices unless you count injustices in school with a teacher pinning blame on ME and not the real culprit.

No, I meant with your teacher.

I've never met a teacher who admitted that the student they thought was guilty was actually right and went "I apologize, let me go get the right culprit." so I often just stay on their good side.

Even if she was acting racist, that's not enough to warrant her getting assaulted. Either insult her back or ignore her, but don't senselessly attack somebody who can't properly defend themselves.

I question the validity of Snow Storm story.

Anyway I think people should consider joining the police force etc if they can't tolerate injustice. It will motivate them to work harder.

Where I live, we have our Australian Aboriginals here (not to be racist, but they are pretty bad) and just because the Europeans took over their lands like 200 years ago, they're still pissed off about it and they have the excuse that they are above the law, so they attack very young white children or people who have European backgrounds.

I don't want to say too much about them... I'm not a racist person, but I don't like most of them. All they do is bash the living **** out of you as well as making your life miserable if you're white and alone and at a young age.

It's not simply a matter of being part of a race that have had their heritage stolen from them (although obviously, that's a huge deal - they didn't even have the right to vote until about 40 years ago). The situation of Aboriginal Australians in general is really rather abysmal. Many Aboriginal kids grow up in an environment in which alcoholism, poverty, petrol-sniffing and child abuse are rife, and also tend not to have as rich an education as other Australians. I don't think Aboriginal people target Caucasians as a matter of principle, but rather, many have been brought up in such a dismal environment that they become more likely to have criminal behaviour. For instance, I've heard horrible stories about young Aboriginal girls, bribed into having sex with much older men in exchange for petrol.

However, I've also known several Aboriginals as well, who were incredibly kind people. In their case, they had been raised outside of that culture of violence and drugs.

As much as I dislike racism... I don't think I would have let him pound a woman like that. And the same would go if it where a White man beating a Black woman for saying a racist comment. I dislike violence... specially against woman (I may not be racist, but sometimes I'm a little old fashion).

Sounds like your speaking from experience.

Personally, I don't care if I was charged for assault or ended up hurt, because I'd try to beat the living **** out of anybody who was attacking a child and mother like that. There is no excuse for cowardly behaviour like that, ever. I say that anyway, but I'm not sure I'd be like exactly if the situation happened there and then in front of me.

As for the guy described in Snow_Storm's OP, I don't think it's so much as the matter of being black, but being a cowardly, piece of genetic waste male (I refuse to call such people men) who doesn't have the self-respect to keep his fists off defenceless children and women. We tend to call people like that scum.
