Darkness

Darkness is soothing.

I like to sit in a dark place, and relax and think. I find that it's a good break from the briskness of the day, an opportunity to reflect on your life.

I especially love to go out where there is no people, cars, homes, etc, and just lay down on the ground and stare at the stars. I find that it brings peace to my mind.

I don't mind the darkness. Well, to an extent. I like dim rooms, but at night it's all dark and annoying. You see shapes and all, and i find it annoying. When i was younger, i seem to recall having a teddy bear, and in the dark imagining it had glasses. Terrified me

The freakiest thing you can do it blind-fold yourself in the dark and walk around with your hands out, only to have yourself touch something squishy.

That idea alone scares the hell out of me.

I'm somewhat afraid of the dark. Thanks to the ghost shows I watched, I have this feeling that any moment now, some ghost of a child is going to turn around a corner to face me.

Very scary... I usually make sure I go in a path as I turn off the lights for the night, meaning I do it so I don't have to go back through the darkness to turn off a forgotten light.

The one thing I've learned is you can believe anything that you concoct with your imagination. It reminds me, there have been a few times that I've squinted in the clear light and have seen clear bodies swirl around. Then I knew it had to do something with my eye since I was kind of seeing the liquid on my eye swirl around. I'm not saying that seeing dark shapes has something to do with your eye.

I've also always been afraid of the dark somewhat. Ever since I've watched that Quarantine movie, I think people will come out of the dark and bit my head off lol! Although that's not real.

Being afraid of the dark is similar to being afraid of yourself. If your afraid of the dark, your afraid of the unknown, because you don't no what is in the dark, so you think up what could be there, therefore your afraid of yourself.

I'm not afraid of the dark itself, I just don't like walking about in the dark, I'm afraid of walking into or tripping over something, which has happened many times, not pleasant, especially when its your dog, who then bites you for it.

Then it turns out to be the jello on the kitchen sink.

I don't walking around in the dark in my house. The woods is a different story. That is some of the scariest **** I've ever seen.

So...It's like you're afraid of your own inner darkness/how evil you can get?

I just think the fear of the dark comes from...well...

Simply put: Darkness is just the absence of light. What was there in the daytime will be there when the light goes away. It's Hollywood that injects the notion of ghosts/demons/serial killers/aliens/grotesque monsters stomping around our house whenever we see/hear something.

This would be scary.
