Birthday Presents

Today being my birthday got me thinking about gifts. My parents have a habbit of getting me things I realy don't want, and on some occasions specificaly ask them not to get me. But then there are also times I get realy cool presents. What have you gotten which would fit into these categories?

Personaly two which stand out in my mind are the following.
A realy bad gift I got one time was when my parents forgot (and I'm not kidding or exagerating, they admited it) to get me a gift. My Dad went out while I was at school and got me shadow the hedgehog (because it was $4.99), and pocket LCD poker key chain thing, a garden statue of a rabbit, and gourmet rabbit food. Needless to say my rabbits were happy, my self, not so much.

On the other hand, a realy great gift came in the form of an e-mail to me tonight.

Also I can't really remember what I got last year... wait no my mum got me two books, Pani got me a little yoshi, dad got me... uh... damn it. OH, THE DOCTOR WHO SEASON 3 BOX SET, THAT'S RIGHT. I got confused with the year before because he got me the collected works of Jane Austen which was pretty neat.

Havn't you gotten any bad presents?

My parents usually just end up giving me money these days, since I am always indecisive about what I want. The best gift they ever got me was my Taylor acoustic guitar. I love that thing more than most things.

My brother and sister get me music or gift certificates which can be redeemed for music.

My aunt always gets me a book store gift certificate.

My uncle has taken to ordering me DVD boxsets. Two years ago he got me Freaks and Geeks, last year he got the the Larry Sanders show. We tend to have similar taste in TV.

I never really have made a big deal out of my birthday. I don't like making people feel obligated to give me attention, it makes me uncomfortable. Even if gifts are nice.

I really enjoy presents and suprises. A present that I really enjoyed was my mobile phone I got last year. Before that, I was very ANTI-PHONE, if that makes sense. I didn't buy one for myself... well, cause I didn't have enough money - but I just said I didn't want one to feel like I was too cool. >_> <_< XD But I enjoy it so much now cause all my friends put their lunch money together for almost a month just to buy it. Poor girls, I starved them for a month. But their sacrifice was very much appreciated, and now I take my phone with me everywhere. My sister says it's now an extension of my physical existence. Noice.

Then I have all the lovely things my mother bought me. Always socks, undies and sweaters with her...

um........I guess I get wut I want? O_o

Since my parents aren't typical ones,(good and bad), I guess I get to pick stuff for my b day presents... >.<

And I dont get underwear for a present. EVER.

My parents give me a lot. I'm a spoiled brat! Last year, my big present was a new phone, because my old one died about a week before my birthday. I knew I was getting it and I chose it, so it was expected.

My grandparents and one of my aunts will always ask whether I want money or a present, and if I say present, they generally ask what I want.

Also one of my other aunts will get me something and then also give me a bunch of peppermints and/or chocolate.

Mine's in exactly three days now. Since I'm going to be old and decrepit, my parents have told me repeatedly that asking for a Nintendo DS or a Wii for my birthday is out of the question (OR is may be the economy... ha)
I ended up just asking for Harvest Moon MM, some art books and some gift cards


...I think my friends are dragging me to a night club or a strip club this weekend. They won't tell me.

On the day of my 14th or 15th birthday. (Only like two or three years later and I can't remember. *cough*)

My parents got in a car crash when they went to buy my late presents.

Anyone have a bad present to top that? (Now someone will say their mom was diagnosed with cancer on their birthday or something.)

I was never one to care about what I got. If I actually got anything, I was thankful, even if it was something that was of no particular use to me.

Lol, one time my parents forgot to say happy birthday to me in the morning so I forgot it was my birthday 'til my mom remembered and called. :/

For my birthday I always get a present from only 1 person. The greatest guy I know. His name is Mafoofoo. He always knows just what I want! Every year!

I'm so paranoid about buying people presents.... I'm always freaking out whether they will end up liking the gift I got for them or not. It can get pretty bad. XD

But my parents usually end up giving me some pretty cool gifts. DVDs, books, some really neat shirts, and even sometimes video games, but that's when I specifically ask for them. I can't really complain.

I usually don't get much. My Mum might give me some money, and Dad usually asks if I want any new games. Pani occasionally sends me something, too. Otherwise, that's about it.

Birthay on April fools day... that's gotta suck sometimes, doesn't it?

But I was due on april fools!

I don't get much. Just a hug from my mother, and that's all I need! But I usually get myself something. =D
