This is NOT a spam/chat topic; that is, don't get into stupid and short discussions with no purpose. Chat room like posts in a row will be deleted and if anyone is caught doing it again, they will receive a warning . You should very well know what SPAM is. Stupid Pointless Annoying Messages. So small, rather pointless, everyday announcements would be an example of what not to post. You can comment on someone's announcement, but unless it's advice/congratulations/or a welcome back, take it to VM/PM.

With that being said, a conversation much like Liah's and Andy's on the front page would be a nice example of the kind of "chat" that is allowed in the CT.

Anyone who posts SPAM, or unneeded conversation in the CT will receive an infraction/warning.

To all members: Clearly no one reads this. Whenever a new CT is made, posting about the new CT is not needed. So a one lined post commenting about the CT is SPAM, and will be deleted. However, with that being said, if you really can't survive without saying something about it, you can add it in as a side note on a personal announcement of your own. It doesn't have to be said a numerous amount of times, because it's quite obvious. If you feel the old CT was locked unjustified, PM a mod about it.

This thread is for the following purposes:

• Vacation Notices
  Announcing your absence due to vacation or other reasons ahead of time.
  
• Landmark Posts
  For instance, "I just got 1,000 posts;" any post dealing with a post milestone (hundreds, generally).
  
• "I'm back" Posts
  Announcing your return to the forums after a long (a few days at least) absence.
  
• Birthdays
  Announcing that it is your birthday, or congratulating someone on theirs.
  
• Name Changes
  Announcing that your name has been changed.
  
• Personal Events
  Announcing important moments in your personal life.
  
• Good Khama
  Old people? Kittens? We need good energy.

If you want to have a discussion about a topic that would fit here - post it, and the angle for discussion, in a separate thread. The CT can't accommodate large-scale discussion AND be able to serve it's normal purpose simultaneously.

And of course, as always, the ZU forum rules still apply.


And finally, a word to staff: when merging topics with the CT, if there is a poll in the thread, do not merge the threads. The CT will then have an un-deletable poll. If the topic has a poll, lock it and tell the author to post the info in here instead.

And another word: If a discussion breaks out and is continuing, split it off it's own thread.

The other job sounds more fun, but the one I have now pays like a mo'fo', man. The pay for the other job is good, though, just not as much as the one I have now. I've been here for a year and some, and maybe sticking around to extend my experience would look good on my CV. Hmmmm. I don't know. Will leaving my job nao make me look like a job-hopper? o:

Uh, probably would come off a bit bad, but pay's pay, right? Gotta make 'da cash, so you dont gotta go shake yer ass. On the other hand, if new job really is that fun (atleast in comparison), is it really worth the extra pay to enjoy yourself some more?

I'm aiming for my 2,000th post! Only 92 posts to go!

now people will wonder what's so funny and look at my computer and see I'm not working and browsing a website of a videogame series that's almost as old as me and be like you just got a payrise and you're not working YOU'RE FIRED and it'll be YOUR FAULT but at least I have the other job lololol.

I met the uncle I've never known before after seventeen years for the first time last month. We met again over the weekend, and he showed me his 2006 GTO. Damned attractive car from the inside. Looks like a little tiny Honda Commuter from the outside, crazy. Pretty neat car. He took my dog back, it was his anyway. We might get one of her puppies.

My cat had kitties. Three of them. So cute and newbornly. I love them, and can't wait for them to get bigger and wrestle with each. Oh, and that makes a total of six cats. Oh good greif (don't plan on keeping them, ps.)

It's also snowing! In Spring! 30 inches! WHY!?

Also, no school today! YAY!

It's almost April and we still have ****ing snow here. There was a couple of days we didn't have snow, but I had a dream the night to Sunday about me leaving the house with no snow and then me coming back and there's snow all over the place - guess what happens.
Yeah, I wake up, notice there's no snow (I feel as **** as I had a concussion), get out and take a walk, notice it starts snowing, and guess what - 3 hours later there's a huge amount of snow.

So I just got back to work after a big group meeting with my company. Due to consistently declining figures etc, they're looking to "merge" our branch with the nearest depot, which is in the neighbouring city.

Not only am I unsure if I would be included in the 12 expected redundancies, but I don't think travelling to the new branch is an affordable option on top of what I'm currently paying out for the new house I recently moved in to.

I'd be looking for a new job somewhere, but work is scarce as hell everywhere at this time, so that doesn't seem all that likely, either.

Looks like I have a fun few weeks coming up...

As for me, my announcement for the day was that it was a lot harder than usual to crawl out of bed this morning, for some reason.

On my hand of the deck, I have to get a haircut today and I really don't want to.

I was helping my sister move house on the weekend, and it came to mind that I want to move out of home reasonably soon.

But first, I'd need money, and therefore would need a job. Which bugs me, considering that I've been looking for a job for the past two and a half years. I've got a feeling there's something I'm not doing right, but I've got no idea what. :<

I want to move out too, but if I do, and given the chance I'm able to split the costs with roommates, I will still be dirt broke. Being a person who hates insecurity, I don't feel it's the right time to move out as of now.
