This is eXACTly what it says on the tin.

Alright! So, after an initial positive response, it's time to get the ball rolling.
I'm going to be keeping this post updated with the latest developements so, keep checking back!

I'll approve you for leading your area meetup along with updating your status to community coordinator; and briefing you of organisational procedures between all of us organisational team.

- Once approved, start a meetup thread with the prefix: [ZU Meetup Extravaganza] followed by your country/city

- We'll keep this thread open as the Joint Ground and link between all of the meetups., and to discuss otehr little plans - a united logo? United postcards? Events? Communication between the different meetups on the day?

We've only got a handful of Irish people here. So would those of them who are able hop over to the UK for a day? I've heard that some people in the rest of Europe have even visited the UK for a ZU meet up. X_x

SUrely there are a lot more Irish people than you think, GarmGarf? =O

European meet-up in central Germany.

While I love the idea, it really isn't possible for me to commit to anything this far in advance, simply because I don't know why my summer (read: job situation) is going to be like.

But if I can partake, than I most definitely will.

You know, I would, but I'm not that much of an active member here. Sure, I read most topics that come up, but rarely do I post outside of Grass's thread. That, and I'm only 14, so I doubt my parents would even let me come. Good luck with the planning, and have fun I suppose. (b^_^)b

I think we should take a laptop to each meetup -- if we can -- and videoconfrence around the globe! Each meetup -- even the tiddy potential Irish one can unite!

Just looking at the failed English meetup, and having made a google Map -- I see the locations make a neat ring.

These people are just off the top of my head -- but Manchester seems like a good location for us, and this idea still involves me travelling the farthest. Should there be a separate one on Mainland Europe?

I guess the real prize would be meeting up sometime in sumer 2013 -- Iceland for everyone. (Or Europe somewhere for the Aussies too?)

US Meetups don't seem to have much promise.. we all sort of stick to our own areas since traveling's usually too expensive for everyone to meetup in one specific place.

That and most of the US residents are teens that don't have much of a choice in the matter due to parental guidance. ;P

But hey, if I had the time and the money I'd be more than willing. :3

I understand that this may be the case for the maJORity for everyone here. But I'm hjoping that perhaps, if we can plan WELL ahead, we can pinpoint some weekend. A saturday sometime in Summer where people can make the effort to MAKE ^__^

Naturally. I wasn't expecting for there to be just ONE meetup in Europe- taking place in the UK. If a Mainland Europe meetup (say, in Germany, for example) can't be pulled off, then seperate Swedish, Netherlands AND german ones can be. It doesn't matter if it's just 3 people, it'd still be sOMEthing. :>

(and yep, it seems Manchester IS a possibility, that map considered =O )

We have a LOT of mature US'ers who ARE capable of meeting ^___^
The only reason that none of the US meetups reached complete fruition is only due to interest being lost after the initial flurry, and for organisers not keeping it aflame. (and because meetup forum is buried in a corner no one visits). But still, it's possible!

If we have enOUgh places for meetups, I'm sure that enough people can make it to thge different venues available.
LA Meetup before showed much promise, as did the Chicago meetup. We have a lot living in Florida and so on and so forth.

Most of the UK'ers were/are teenagers also, it's possible! Perhaps parents/older siblings/friends can attend with the teens if it encourages their chances :>

In the summer?

Obviously nothing is set in concrete, but I might be able to make an appearance :>

Firstly though, I think it'd be good for everyone interested to post their country, so we can have a rough idea of the amount of meetups, locations etc.

I would like to go to one of these, but can only go if there is one in Belfast, can't get over to mainland Britain or Europe.

I support Awkin's suggestion due to Karma's reasoning.

We're too poor!

Although, I will be more than glad to help organize (probably Western US or something ^.^).

It depends on the time and location for the two of us, too. It doesn't help that we're aiming for a possible September wedding!

Count me in on the planning, and a very huge "maybe" for the attending. <3

This works out better than the Ohio meet up in Jan/Feb because of school.

So yeah, as I voted, US East (more specifically Lorain, Ohio).
