Oh wow. That's really wonderful. It's nice to see animals helping each other out. Do you think a human would do that? Probably, but with much more hesitation.

Wow, just wow. Truly amazing. That really made me look at a different perception on the human race now, and how amazing animals really can be.

I was so touched just watching that.

Re: Dog recues fellow dog on a busyhighway

You know, you hear random stories about dogs rescuing their owners from all sorts of things: Like mountain lions, or grizzly bears, or heck even cancer. But did we, as human beings, ever question if man's best friend had allegiance to a species other than our own?

They prolly do this kind of stuff for each other all the time.
We just don't catch it on Youtube, with the exception of this.

Re: Dog recues fellow dog on a busyhighway

It's cool to see things like this. It reminds me of a story about a dog leading a blind dog around by a leash. I think they were strays, but obviously the one with a collar and leash had an owner once. The other dog would hold the leash and protect the blind one.

I think it was on amazing animal videos or something.

Just, wow.

It's lovely to see something like this.
What an incredible dog.

Of course, probably many dogs would help friends like this too.
But still, it's a good deed either way.

Sad to hear they don't know where he is at the moment, though. :<

Re: Dog recues fellow dog on a busyhighway

I wouldn't jump to conclusions and try to brand all the people driving by as unthinking, careless humans. Consider it from the perspective of the drivers there. It's on a corner, on an extremely busy highway with no room to pull over, and cars traveling at 60-70 MPH. The vast majority of those drivers probably can't even see the dog until too late, and then they have no options.

The only way most of those drivers could have helped that dog was by risking their own lives, and the lives of their passengers. I would help an injured dog in need, but not in that circumstance. Do you honestly expect anyone to risk their live to help a dog that they do not know and appears to be already dead?

Think a little before you condemn and judge.

If that dog were a homosapien female which happens to be sexually attractive; I'd totally have sex with it.

The dog's body in the middle of the road is a hazard to other drivers. Regardless of your concern for the dog, the least you could do is stop at the nearest lay-by and phone the appropriate authorities, if not for the dog, then for other drivers.

Re: Dog recues fellow dog on a busyhighway

Do you have any evidence to suggest that that didn't happen? The road crews had to find out somehow.

Re: Dog recues fellow dog on a busyhighway

I never said it didn't, all I was saying is that acting as if they should just ignore this dog's body in the middle of the road is acceptable is pretty silly, considering that as I said, it's a hazard.

And firstly, I'm not going to assume they did based on no evidence that such a call was made, since otherwise you'd have me assume that EVERY driver made the call at the first opportunity they got, because we all know how altruistic humans are don't we? Secondly, according to that video, it's only when the workers spot the dogs that any help is given. So I would wager that not one of the drivers actually did stop to phone, because if you did phone an emergency service, why would they send construction workers?

But as I said, I wasn't saying that no one did. All I'm saying is that you can't say ignoring this dog's body is acceptable, because it's a hazard to other drivers, even if you don't give two ****s about the dog itself.
