Discussion: Blatant Troll or Misunderstood?

Mafoofoo? Aw, come now, Asia, he's harmless! He does a little bit of what can be called "trolling," but I don't see him as the snide, sneering type, like some others on here (not going to name names ). From what I've seen, the stuff he does is pretty much in good fun, and I don't really recall him hurting or upsetting others.

And yeah, Discussion is an obvious troll. I felt that he could've done better, though--just not really entertaining enough, I'm afraid. I give him about a C+.

I admit that some things are amusing, but a vast majority of times, it's just mild bullying that is only amusing to the person carrying out the snidey remarks. Maybe their friends, too. But that's it.
I say so because I have, on more than a couple of occasions, called him up on it in other places as it was happening, and seriously, it just ruins the atmosphere and makes unpleasant and not be fun to be around.

That kind of thing is the ONLY thing spoiling what is otherwise a fun community, in my opinion.

Of course, I do not just mean Foofoo, but I only mentioned him here as an example because he proudly admits to doing that :p

What do you think of Foofoo's idea of Trolling? That it is okay to be downright unpleasant so long as yOu glean amusement?

Oh yes, I'm very well aware of that subcurrent of ZU culture--and I rather make it a point to keep my distance from those people.

I just don't count Foofoo as one of them. I mean, sometimes he can be a bit brash, but in my observation he's quite mild compared to some others.

My grapes are all quite ripe and fresh. Plus my trolling isn't trolling. I merely point out the flaws in others and laugh at them.

Discussion and I actually go way back, and I give him my full endorsement - as a misunderstood intellectual, with perhaps a rash of dry, satirical humor.

It's easy to simply write me off as a two-bit troll or as a really stupid person loose of his inhibitions, but the truth is that I'm actually far more advanced than the great majority of people here. Here I am, Discussion, born under the sign of the virgin, spiritual successor of Peter Kropotkin, and the human equivalent of Adonis. I am of a material that is qualitatively superior to the majority of the board, and it is precisely for this reason I am dismissed, considered irrelevant, slapped in the face by the most brutish and ignorant of people: because I dare to live and disdain the chains of superstition or what is considered the infallible truth!

As I've said before, it is up to you to come about with your own interpretation of my tale, but remember it is one of love, pain, sadness, anger...all the most romantic of feelings conjured up in this modern Marcus Aurelius!

Yes, Blue and I have known one another online for some time, thus it is worthy of consideration when attempting to pass judgment.

At first I didn't know what this topic meant or what it was. But then I realized it was about the user Disussion. I just know him for the unorthodox use of signature that contains seventies-looking women and other random stuff. But I have thought of this before:

"Does this guy even play Zelda?"

I've wondered how he ended up here and why he never even bothers discussing Zelda related topics.

Anyways, blatant troll I say.

Mods are generally not supposed to lock threads upon request of the thread creator, especially if people still want to discuss the topic at hand.

I respectfully think that this thread should remain open since it is an open attack on discussion and he should have a right to defend his character and personality.
