Aftermath of April 1st???

I'm just wondering if anyone else out there has noticed the same thing I have. I know alot of people were getting pretty anoyed by Jason's april fool's joke, and were saying they never want to come back to "this dump". I don't know why anyone took something like that so close to April fool's seriously, but I thought it would all go back to normal after the announcement. Contrary to what I thought however, it seems like the comunity has died a bit since then. I don't know, mayby it's just me, but before it all happened, threads would be getting hundreds of hits a day, you could practicaly have an instant messaging convo because people were replying so fast, everything was going good. But now it seems all different. Some threads which were popluar have died because regualr don't post any more, even other ones will go days with no one posting on them, then pop up again for one post. Or even through out the day, I've logged on in the morning, then came back that night, and the same post on the same thread is still in the top 3, or even still on top. Liike I said, mayby it's just me, but I'm wondering, has anyone else noticed this, has there realy been a decline in ZU since the joke issue?

I've been watching the forum for about a year and a half; from what I can tell, it goes up and down. There are lulls in activity. We are approaching the end of the academic year, so it could be one factor.

I haven't noticed that the April fool's joke had any lasting effect.

Well, there is the whole issue with "Banned" not being censored in CR's, but nothing really major, in my opinion.

Well I hope you're right. I've only been active on the forums this year, but I've been watching them for a couple of years, yeah they go up and down, and school timing affects them, but I don't know, I just nvere noticed it this much. Here's keeping my finger crossed though. It gets so boring sometimes.

You missed all the action. It was deleted. Much drama llama.

As to normal conversations, meh like Sophie said, it fluctuates. Remember most people here are in school, so that adds to it, and throw in all the highschool people knowing summer is around the bend, and it is getting nicer outside, and the fact they have finals to study for, will slow down traffic.

I'm not sure who the big posters are that contributed to the threads you're thinking of. A number of very active members have joined the site staff group; perhaps they're posting/writing more for other sections that aren't visible to everybody on the forum.

Well I meant more just to that thread (you know there's always one or two people who have half the posts on a thread) And part of this may be because even though I am still in higschool, I'm a slacker and I finish classes at 12:00, so I have alot of free time. So obviously, alot of it is just me, is there anyone else who does think it has something to do with the joke though? Just wondering.

Come to think of it,....I think the banned thing is aslo having an effect. Again, mayby because of the joke, so many people were complaining that the "old" MODs didn't do anything, because the have definatly cracked down on the rules since then. Thank you to everyone for lifting my spirits. I'd hate to see this site loose members because of a joke.

Yea, sophie is right. I mean, I've not been here that long but you do notice the ups and downs in activity. It may be a little slow right now, but it will speed up again... then slow down again... then speed up again. Nothing to worry about. xP

I think there's a lull in activity due to the fact that many awesome video games have been recently released...
