Right-Hand Mouse

I wonder...

Every time I see a person using a mouse, a computer mouse, I see the right hand ALWAYS on the mouse.

I have not met one person who prefers using their Left hand!!

Who does use their left hand?

Note: If you are using a Wii, and have never used a computer, please do not answer, unless you somehow use a mouse on the Wii.

Re: Right-Hand Mouse

I use my right hand. I think there are left handed mice (I think that is how to pub. it).

My computer teacher saids that if things are on your right side, you will see them better or something like that.

That is a good question,

Amazon.com: left-handed mouse

BUT WHO DOES?

0_0

Soon they'll have left handed Dr Pepper cup holders!

(Not a bad idea.)

Anyways, I'm left handed in writing. I'm STILL a left handed mouse user.

I tried, and it felt...weird!

So, anyone who actually uses the Left hand?

Re: Right-Hand Mouse

I am right handed, but I know that my biology teacher uses his left hand for the mouse, but I have a few friends that are left handed and they use their right hands for the mouse. I think that one reason that most use their right hand is that most mice are made specifically for the right hand, so they are curved for the hand to have more comfort. Althought they do make left handed mice, I guess it is just because computers were made by a right handed person, so that is why the mouse is usually on the right and the keyboard is on the left. Although if you are used to using your right hand for the mouse (even if you are not right handed) it could feel weird until you get used to it.

my mouse is symmetrical. if a lefty uses a righty mouse, they'll be using their middle finger to click most of the time, instead of their index finger. some mice are shaped for a right hand. others, like mine, are shaped symmetricly, it would only be the buttons that are odd for a lefty.

You can switch the primary buttons around in Windows, and probably most other OSs too. But no, I guess I've never seen mouses on the left side, despite the possibility. Its probably because most left-handers grow up using right handed mice on their parents' or public computers, and therefore get used to them being that way.

Yeah, for windows it's somewhere in Control Panel. So for a symmetrical mouse, which I assume most people have, with the equal-sized left and right buttons and the click wheel in the middle, can simply be adjusted in Control Panel and witched to the left side if the need arises.

I'm a lefty in mostly everything I do, but I use a mouse with my right hand.

Re: Right-Hand Mouse

Well, I'm right handed... so it's only natural that I use my right hand for the mouse both on desktop and laptop. But I guess on this laptop, a lefty would have no trouble; it's a touchpad.

Re: Right-Hand Mouse

I use both hands. Depends on however I feel that day, or where my keyboard is on my desk that the mouse'll fit. Currently, I'm using my left hand because I'm sitting away from the monitor with the keyboard in my lap and the only flat surface table is on my left side. Makes complete sense to me.

I am going to randomly say 2/70 people use left handed mice.

Or 1/35 people.

Totally untrue, but could be possibl
