Discontinued Food Products You Loved

You may have one. You may have many. What are some of the food products you loved that are now discontinued?

I have a few, but I would have to say Grape Pop-Tarts are on the top of my list.

They were absolutely delicious. Kellogg's really made no official announcement that they were being discontinued. Grape Pop-tarts sort of just... disappeared.

I have contacted Kellogg's and they said that they were discontinued because of low consumer demand.

Can someone explain to me how Barbie Pop-tarts and Pop-tart Splitz outsell Grape Pop-tarts?! I just don't see it. Since I was little, I do know that Grape Pop-tarts were hard to find in the first place. They weren't available in every store and when I went to certain parts of the US, they weren't available anywhere. In fact, most people I talk to didn't even know that they existed. So, maybe if Kellogg's made the product available everywhere, it would sell better.

I am really sad to see it go. And, I've been without a Grape Pop-tart for over a year now. D: I do know that a grocery store called "Winn-Dixie" sells generic grape pop-tarts, which are just as good... but all the Winn-Dixies closed down in my area over a year ago. I heard they are still in some parts of Alabama, Georgia, and Florida.

Re: Discontinued Food Products You Loved

Whoa, grape Pop-Tarts have been discontinued?? Wow, it really has been a long time since I've been in the Pop-Tart scene. Yeah, and these new fangled "Barbie" Pop-Tarts are just retarded. I remember when I was a kid when there were only four or five flavors.

Anyway, this is probably before most people's time on these boards, but for a short while in 1992 and 1993, there was Crystal Pepsi--which was colorless Pepsi that looked like Sprite. It tasted close enough to regular Pepsi but did have its own distinct flavor. I still remember watching the commercials for it in middle school, with Van Halen's "Right Now" going on throughout the ad. Oh, how I miss thee, Crystal Pepsi...

Does anyone else miss Lay's WOW Chips? From the 1990's?

So unfortunate they're gone; I did so love me some olestra-induces diarrhea.

I remember Crystal Pepsi, but I never tasted it. I've always been a Coca-cola fan. I hate diet drinks. I'll drink Mountain Dew and Sundrop (a local favorite around here) every once in a while, but other than that I don't drink many soft drinks. I do enjoy the new Coke Zero, though. :3

Re: Discontinued Food Products You Loved

I haven't tried Kellogg's Pop Tarts and neither have I tried Pepsi Crystal. It seems I'll never get the chance to either

One food product that I absolutely adored were Toffee Crisp Clusters. Absolutely amazing, but one day, and for no apparent reason, they had vanished from newsagent and supermarket shelves ;__;

What about Butterfinger BB's?

They were sooo delicious and much easier to eat than a Butterfinger. I used to sneak them in movie theaters.

Re: Discontinued Food Products You Loved

As soon as I saw this thread, I KNEW you were making it to complain about your Grape Pop-Tarts. I can't see pop-tarts in a store any more without checking for grapies. You have ruined me, lady. :<

Anyway, it doesn't really count as 'discontinued', but I'm mentioning Mountain Dew Baja Blast. You can only get it as a fountain drink at Taco Bell, and I hate Taco Bell. That's the only place that has ever had it, ever, ever, ever.
