Does your school have a talent show? Well mine does and it was last week. It was good. The best act was

The best viola player in the state I think?

And a good cello player, did a original composition. But thats not the cool part they hook their instruments up to in amp and used distortion pedals ISN'T THAT AWESOME.

So just post if your school has a talent show and if it already has happened post the best act that you thought was.

I think we used to have talent shows every second year or something. I dunno where they went, they sort of fizzled out the year I got there.

I tried out with 3 other girls for the first one, though.

My old school has talent shows every year, in December. Unfortunately, the panel of judges consists largely of middle-aged men, which means the winner is never actually the best act.

Last time I was there, the contest was won by three girls in skimpy outfits, two of whom danced around in what was probably supposed to be a sexy manner while the third sang badly. The year before, a Grease tribute act took the trophy. On both occasions, over half the participants were better than the "winners".

we had a talent show in high school, but there were no winners or losers (not officially anyway)

I did it 2 years in a row. first year I sang a song...

second time my firend and i sang the dixie chicks "good bye earl" and our friends acted it out in like a live-action music video type thing. it was very unique, but silly and fun. Never did get to see tha video...

Yea mine just happened last week. First place didn't deserve it at all.

First place - Judge's Choice - Basically the loudest singer
Second place - Popularity from votes - the Band
Third place - Mix of Judge's Choice and Popularity - the Piano player (HE WAS AWESOME!)

But for the past three years I tried out and never got in (Ours has auditions). They should at least throw poor ol' me a bone for determination.

First year I was disqualified for having the real singer with the music I sang to.

Second year I sang an Avril Lavigne song with my cousin (Only because it was the only song we found that was under 3 minutes and had a karaoke version). I don't even know why we were not chosen.

This year I tried to play Cancer by My Chemical Romance on my Bass (I learned the piano parts on bass) while singing it. I think I wasn't chosen because they scored on how easy it was for me to get on and off stage, but they didn't let me set up my amp before I performed like the band set and the acoustic set. So I spent about 5-10 minutes to get my amp on stage, hook it all up, getting my bass, hooking that up to the amp, and get a chair. And they happened to be grading me while I was doing it, while they let the band and accoustic set have sound check and time to get hooked up. I was so mad at them.

Next year in High School they don't have talent shows. So that was my last one. Unless my big brother lied to me again...

Yeah, we have them, usually during Homecoming. Anyway, this year's was pretty good. 3/4 of the people who went on stage sung, but there was a street dance team thing. Unsurprisingly, they won.

We do an "Intercultural Show" once a year. My friends and I had the culture "The 80's". We preformed a dance for PoP! Goes My Heart. I know the sound kinda sucks and you can barely hear the song. I'm also out of the screen for most of it.

There was no winner or loser, but we got the best audience response. I'm the guy on the far right in the back row with the keyboard and headband.

Yeah my school had a talent show. Pretty boring though for the most part.

My high school had one every year on 'may day'. It was a the only fun day allowed (Once a year.) You watched a hypnotist and talent show then went home. 2 grades watch one as the other 2 watched the other then they swapped us.
