What are you saving up for?

Not having money sucks pretty bad. And a lot of things, techonology-related mostly, are quite expensive.

Maving you're saving up for that pricey game console.
Or that kickin' mp3 player.
Or that revolutionary new phone.

Maybe you're saving for a car, a bike, a house?

So, enlighten us? What are you saving up for, how much is it, and how much do you already have saved?

Personally, I'm saving up for an iPod. I'm a bit late to the whole mp3 player trend, but yeah. It's $250 (aussie money, o' course) and right now I've got about $65 saved. I don't have a job, but I get $50 a week, so it shouldn't be too long now!

I'm saving up for Wii games at the moment, but I think I'll start putting the money towards Brawl.

At the end of this year, I'm moving overseas to Florida to live with my Brandon (: That's what I'm saving for. I've been at my job for just over two months and I've saved over $3,000 - hence my lack of Brawl/Galaxy/whatever game everyone else is playing XD.No regrets though. Videogames can come later - I'm working for something, and someone, I love.

I'm 19 and after inheritence, scholarships above my educational costs and savings from work I should have around 40K banked, hopefully around 45K by the time I have my bachelors and around 70K by the time I have my masters. then hoping for around 120K banked by the time I'm 25ish(money I spend, $550 on rent/utilities, $150-200 on food and basically nothing else[I refrain from driving since school and work are only 10-15 minutes away], if I do spoil myself it's usually to a degree that I'm still putting money in the bank)

These days I blow the $20 my parents give me every week (Yeah, they're pretty good that way) on train tickets, incidental meals, and Nick Cave albums.

After just blowing a whole load of cash recently on a '360 and a bunch of games, I was planning on saving up some money for a while, mainly for things such as arranging my trip over to New York to see Aeffles.

Currently, it looks like I'll need to get my own internet installed first, seeing as the crap at home just doesn't cut it anymore. Ergh.

I'm saving up as much as I can, so when I enlist, I'll have some extra cash in the bank, aside from my paycheck. Luckily, I won't need to pay rent, buy food, cover medical bills or pay for water, electricity or internet. A little bit can go a long way. :D

Well, by the end of summer I hope to have enough money for a camera, laptop and a round trip plane ticket to Toronto, although who knows how it'll all end up to be. I'm not worried though, I have faith that I'll get whatever it is that I need.

Overall though, I'm hoping to spend no more than 2000 dollars on aforementioned items.

Im saving up for a dual purpose yamaha ttr125. so I can drive it now and when I get my licenes I can drive it on the road.

I'm not saving for anything spesific right now. I do have a list of things I want to get when I have the money, but I pick things from the list by the order of what I happen to need most first. Lately I've been shopping not-so-necessary stuff way too much, and need to take a break before I accidentally spend all I have.

So anyway, what's on this shopping list...
- An MP3 player, a proper one. I had one that broke in less than a month (yay for guarantees), so next I'll be getting an expensive, real good one.
- A better computer, or something to make my current one work better.
- Next cosplay project, they always eat money.
- I try to get out of the country for a bit every year. This year is already covered, but the next...

Games
- Fire Emblem: Radiant Dawn
- SSBB (as soon as it gets here)
- Guitar Hero III (need to decide Wii version/PS2 version... most likely Wii)
- PS3 (I might afford this in approximately 10 years)

There's more, I'm sure, but these are the first to come to mind.

Well, I'm nowhere near close enough to getting any of these things, but I'm saving for a PS3, a TV, and a computer. I want a flat-screen TV so that it'll take up as little space as possible in my dorm, but that means I'm gonna have save even longer. Oh well. And I have no idea what computer I want. Okay, I want a good one lol. But that still leaves me open for a couple of options right? I'm bad with computers, and I have a feeling that a good deal can easily slip right by me. So atm I'll just save up for a computer so I'll at least have the money ready lol.
