I haven't had a drink in months.

2 weeks ago, my friend came to town and we decided to drink. We bought 2 six packs of Heineken. I only had like 2 or 3 beers and that was it. I think I might be finished with alcohol.

Alcohol is nasty. I've got friends who like to go off and get drunk, but I don't understand the mentality.

One of them one day explained that "you don't drink it for the taste, you drink it for the effects!" When I told her that was a terrible reason, she disagreed, but the discussion didn't go on much.

Booze is for getting drunk!

...But getting drunk is a bad thing, I always thought. Especially under 21.

I only drink things that taste good, usually any intoxication is incidental. That's why I'm a wine drinker and I don't binge drink.

I tried wine once. I thought it was awful. But, I've heard it's an "acquired taste." Not something I really care to acquire, though.

Still, drinking for the taste is definitely okay in my book. In limited amounts, naturally.

Is it really? I've heard from many people that it's pretty good. My mom said once upon a time that she hated wine, though, but then again, she doesn't drink at all.

That's something I'm unable to understand... Why would you want to drink something so disgusting to get drunk. At least drink something worthwhile, you know?

On alcohol: spent the first two years of uni drunk. Tried almost anything and everything. Got bored with it. Weekend after weekend in clubs, drinking myself silly, bleh. Not too proud of that period of my student life. Met a special someone who has never liked alcohol. Followed his example and rarely drink anymore - only on special occcasions and never to get *drunk*, and now I have a walking stick and repeat stories of when I was a little girl to kids who pretend to listen.

I saw a lady today who had a hairdo done like the shape of Darth Vadar's helmet. It was amazing. She also had a poodle. Fancy that.

Drinking is fun. I drink a lot with friends. In fact, recently I've been drinking almost every day (Not until drunkenness, of course). It's a good way to wind down after work, with a few beers at the pub.

Speaking of which, I am currently bored & at work, thus surfing ZU.

All this bad talk of alcohol makes me sad. And beer doesn't taste like piss. :/

Back to work after a Monday off for Bank Holiday. Hopefully I'll get Friday off to bum around, too.

Another thing; my internet is being a real ass at home at the moment. Ergh.

Aw, don't be sad, hun *huggles* I'm more for how people drink, I gots nothing against alcohol itself. I've had tons of fun with good friends while drinking. I've just had one too many experiences with stupid drunks who a) start crying about their lives and/or b) try to pick fights with everyone.

*poke* If I ever swing your way, dear, we'll go to a pub together and we'll both down a few just because, squee <3.

^ Yeah, agreed, alcohol is fine by me, I just don't like going nuts with it. I'm annoying as hell when I'm tipsy, and I'd hate to think what I'd be like if completely smashed.
