Well it's exam time again.

Examinations are on the horizon!
It's nearing the end of school and for some years out there it's the most stressful, time consuming and perhaps depressing time of the year, perhaps even life so far depending on the importance.
But what about you? Are only saddled with mocks or are they the big ones? When do they start, when do they end? Are they clumped together or do you have an easy spacing? What do you need out of them? Which of them worry or do you find comfort in?
Most importantly: Are you prepared?

I'm sitting my A-levels currently, I do four subjects so there's quite a bunch of them. They begin next week and finish two thirds through June. Five weeks- Wheeeeeee!
The beginning is horrible as I do all sciences and maths, which are all within the same span of days. If not on the same one in some cases. But by June there's only three, within three weeks. But that's kind of bad in it's own way as you may still be slogging on while your friends are free.
I'm hoping to do Accountancy in Belfast, so I'll need an A and two B's. Currently sitting on two A's a B and a C, so I just need to work to maintain it.
My main worries are Physics and Chemistry, due to the synoptic element in the comprehensions and free respond questions of Physics, if you don't know what I mean, be glad of it, and Chemistry due to the understanding in some areas.
I feel well enough prepared, but I've still some work to get done. So long as I concentrate and organise my time I think I'll come through.

Actually, I love exams. I think they're easy since it's over the whole year and only pick out the important facts out of each chapter. I think they're the best part of school.

The only really challenging exams I'm taking are my AP Calculus and AP Literature exams. I hope to score at least a 3 or a 4 on both tests, but I believe I'll get better on my AP Calc test than my AP Lit test. Literature isn't exactly my strongest subject, but I'm not bad at it.

If I were you, I'd change the title to reflect that it's a discussion on examinations. OTherwise, a busy mod might mistake this thread as something to be merged with the "end of school year" thread.

As for me, I just did one exam for a Thermodynamics course... I need to scan it in and email it to the prof. Was like..15 pages of calculations, and I STILL know I have some parts incorrect...

Well, let's see....
I have 5 finals to do in the last week of school in June
They're on Math, Science, History, English, and Spanish
They're all on the same week, with no days in between them
And thankfully, i think i'm prepared.

I'm going to complain and complain about testing 'till the cows come home, and aint no-one gonna stop me.

I'm taking two HUGE AP tests within the next two weeks, (which are, for those of you who don't know, three-hour exams on SRS ROIDS. not written by the teacher, so there might be material that was never covered in class) and four regular exams in early June. Not to mention I had the SAT this past weekend and two SAT2's at the beginning of next months.

There is nothing I hate more than exams. Noooothiiinnnnggg :<

Let's see...in the last week of May, I have:

Science Exams
Algebra High School Exams
Math Exams
Social Studies Exams

I don't know if there's any English Exams yet, because we have already taken about 4 tests (Which were required, not made by the teacher) within the last 2 weeks. We haven't been told yet.

Well, last week was exams week for me, but those were just to go on my end of year report. Just a load of end-of-year tests, and 2 science mocks.

But next week I've got my RE GCSE *panic panic panic*. 8 days to go..... HELP!

Then I've got my 3 science GCSE's in June. But that's all this year. I'm only in year 10, so the rest of mine are next year, but still..... STRESS!

Exams are nothing.

I'll only have English, math (which I'll take before the actual exam day) and cooking (same situation as math).

Hahaha. I don't start my final exams until next month. I'm looking forward to passing in Chemistry and Algebra.

I'm not looking forward to taking them though.

Finals last about two weeks at my school. I don't like them. D:

School ends on Tuesday, Wednesday is our reading day, and then from Thursday to the next Saturday could be your final exams. The day and time depends on your class time and schedule.

Thankfully, I could choose when to take my Chem final this semester, so I had about a five day space between my Chemistry and Statistics final. But, last semester was horrible. On Tuesday, I had my last Chemistry test and a final term paper due in my English class, the next day was our reading day, and then on Thursday, I had a Chemistry Final and a College Algebra Final. It was waaaay too much to study for, but I did very good on both of them.

Tomorrow is my last final of the year~!

I am halfway lucky that most of my finals are just the last chapter/ chapters and not what we covered all year. I only have two like that intermed french, west civ II (which I am not worried about b/c I love history) oh yeah and new testament. The bad part about the others is that they all have essays whoo-hoo that have to be a certain length and my profs are essay nazis. But thank god it will all be over the end of next week!

Oh yeah what are GCSE's and A levels? I am a yank (ha ha) and was wondering if they are like our SAT's

Since seniors get to leave high school before the others, I'll be taking my finals on the 15th and 16th of this month. I'll only have to take five at most, potentially only four (if my English teacher makes our paper count as the final): Desktop Publishing, English (?), World History, Accounting I, and Physics.

I don't have a final in AP Calculus AB because we have the dreaded AP exam... which is tomorrow! *screams in agony* I'm not sure how well I'll do on it at all. :x I want a three. That'd be nice.

.........Man, I'm dreading tomorrow. >___<

^I took the AP Calc BC exam today actually. Our class pretty much failed it as we only learned 90% of whats in calculus and it only made up 10% of the test. The other 10% we didn't learn made up 90% of the test.

Also, AP Lit test tomorrow. That I know I'll do better on.

Eek! I hope you guys can at least get decent scores. You never know, many other people could've done not-so-well... and since the scores are weighted upon how the top scorers did. I dunno. Maybe you guys did better than you think? (I'm trying to make things optimistic, really.)

Well, I believed we were prepared as we could have been. I forgot some basic things, so I'm not sure how well I actually did. I royally ****ed up the non-calculator portion of the open/free-response, though, for SURE. :/ I just basically stared at my open response for forty five minutes. Ahhh well.

And today ends my exams - AP Physics C Mechanics/E&M, a double exam that'll probably take four or five hours to complete. Oh, and College Board would like you to pay double for such silly exams.

Wish me luck. It starts in less than an hour.

My A-levels started today, and they've been organised ridiculously badly.

I've got three this week (including today's), one next week, then there's a two or so week break, immediately after which I have four exams on the same ****ing day!

I'm normally a pretty laid back person, but four exams on the same day will play havoc with my last minute revision strategy, not to mention I'll be stuck in the same chair writing all day. I can't imagine anything that's more boring and frustrating at the same time (apart from a song by Dragonforce, that is)

News to me!

I'm currently sitting my second year exams in English and Classics. I just fell ill today with who-knows-what, but if I can just get through my last two this week, then I'm off to Boston for the summer!
