A Matter of Luxury... You're Dream Marriage!

a little thing i was wondering, where would you like to be married, what would it be like, and where would you spend youre honeymoon? i think it would be good to prepare now, so when the time comes you dont have to rush around doing everything. so... as for me...

i would like to be married in hawaii, on the beach. my wife-to-be would wear a sleeveless white top and wrap-around long skirt taht goes to just above her ankles. she would still have the veil, of course, but the spirit of hawaii would be there. i would wear a suit jacket and pants of course. we would do it at the edge of the water, and make our vows as the sound of the waves crashes behind the priest. we would do this on the beach next to the Temple (mormon), and after that we would go inside the temple and continue the ordinances. after which, we would go to a nearby chapel and have a huge dinner, with a multi-deck cake and all of our relatives and friends ejoying the feast. all this, would be done on my wife's birthday. i want it to be the best birthday she ever has. i will prepare in secret, and tell her a week before. i want her to be as happy as possible.
after the feast, we will go back to the hotel, and prepare our bags for the flight to europe, our honeymoon. we will tour europe, go skiing and surfing and basically do everything there is to do there. after which, we come home, and put everything on Air Removal Carriers. we would go to the Japan Highlands, and live in a peaceful valley, with the code of the ancient ones to guide our lives, the ways of the samurai. it may sound like im just hyped with the new movie, which i dont have to name, but im not. if you study the samurai and ancient japan and all the way they live, is so pure, and peaceful, and all you do is strive to have perfection in what you do. the meditation, the hunting, the way of life is so ... wonderful, i would be honoured to live like taht, even without modern luxuries.

well, that is my shortened wedding wish. now, it is my turn to listen, which i hope there is something to listen to. of course.

Well, well, well... time to post my plans so far. My girlfriend and I are to marry in Japan, and Australia (Being a citizen of two countries means we get to live the fun two times!). We've decided to have a very traditional ceremony in Japan, with traditional kimono attire, and festivities. We're hoping to hold it either in our hometown of Kyoto or in Okinawa.

In Australia it will be more "western", we think this is a great way to see the different culture involved here, which should be really interesting. Our honeymoon has not yet been planned, but some places we were thinking of are Thailand or South Korea.

oh yeah, and i do know what the code is. ive been studying ancient japan for ages.

Truthfully I don't care that much about the way I get married. Because I come from a generally christian upbringing my marriage would involve a whole lot of old people sitting in uncomfortable wooden chairs as I walk down the aile of a stuffy church with my women to meet some old guy who rambles on for a while and then get me to say some stuff.
I'll probably do that but I'll also have a 'carefree' wedding, sort of like what e_alert described. I could have it anywhere, preferably outdoors, at any time. Nice and spontaneous
But as long as you <3 your partener, who really cares?

I would like to be married in france. And our honeymoon probably in......Spain. Of course my Husband would have to have a great personnality and some good looks with blonde hair.

I hope you got enough saved for your honeymoon, you don't want to come back broke o_o

If I ever get my act together and return to the Mormon church, and I'm sure I eventually will, I'll probably get married in the Salt Lake Temple, just like my mom and dad did.

My dream marriage... it's far too unrealistic and morbid, but then again, this is about dream marriages.

I'd like my future wife and I to take our vows in an 17th century, New England cemetery with a dark, cloudy sky and light rain drizzling down upon us. The only other person there with us would be the priest.

My wife would be wearing nothing more than a thin, white, silk slip dress and I would be dressed like the field plate clad D2 necromancer. Again, it's far too unrealistic, but why can't a boy dream?

That is a tad morbid necroton. You could also try dressing as the Phantom of the Opera.

I wouldn't want anything special. Just a mass at my local parish, with family and friends.

And, as Chuc said, till death do us part is a nice addition.

Although I have a friend from Utah and she says that the girls there live ONLY to be married. Like, that's the only reason to even talk to guys after a certain age. So, I'm sure that they are conformists, in general, eh?

It's basically impossible for a Mormon guy from over there NOT to find a wife.

As for me, the world yet holds enough beautiful places that I would be happy to be married in any of them. The sea has always called to my family, and so I could not LIVE away from the coast for very long, but besides that... MAZEL TOV haha.

I want to get married by Elvis in Las Vegas. Although my family would be there. Or maybe a normal wedding at a normal church. But I like the Elvis idea better. I just don't want to spend so much money on stuff I don't need! And I don't want my wife to have a huge dress. Maybe a short silk dress or what ever.

Even though they're easy to find and always available, Mormon girls have wicked high standards. You have to be a really devout Mormon to marry one. And even then, they rarely date outside their kind. That means that they're usually only interested in their fellow Utahns of Mormon heritage, not naturalized converts. I'm technically one of "their kind", even though I've strayed so far away from the church.

Marriage is deffinatly not a thing I think about (I doubt I'd even get married :p) but IF I where to get married I'd probably what the spontanious thinking of having it at the last minute.

I would like to be married in the place i love the most in the whole wide world, Japan! I would have a original Japanese Marriage, and then, do sight seeing, and have a little fun. *wink wink* That would be my dream marriage.

I want to be married in some old church and invite all the family and friends. The honeymoon, i guess we could go to France, or some other place in Europe.

I suppose I would get married somewhere quiet. As for a honeymoon, I honestly don't know.

Ahh... I have always thought of this. Since I was small actually. Not knowing what it was, seeming it would be fun.

Anyways, I want it to be in the summertime. Outside. In a nice open space, a few trees, the place decorated in flowers, friends and family will be there. It would be an unforgettable wedding. You'd be able to remember everything you did. I, myself, would want to be wearing a sleeveless dress. But it must be big and puffy though. The person who I would be marrying would be dressed in white as well(so he wouldn't die of heat), so would the ushers. The bridesmaids would be wearing beautiful blue dresses. About knee high and full of flowers. The cake.. Oooh!! I can just imagine it now. It would be great!

And my honeymoon would... If you don't know, I won't say... Okay I have to!! HAWAII!!! I want to go there so badly. And I want to make fun of my parents when I hopefully end up going and it being all sunny. They went and it was raining the whole time they were there. Except the last time. It was all sunny and everything was dry and beautiful...

Alright! There you have it. I would go into more detail, but it might turn out to be a couple hours long. lol.
