What made you smile today?

We all have these moments when something captures our eye or we hear something that causes us to draw a smile. This smile can be expressed through our lips, eyes or even our heart.

Whatever that moment may be, please share it with us in this thread =). And with this I ask: What made you smile today?

To start this thread off, I'll go first. What really made me smile this morning was reading how one of my classmates acknowledged me in their final year thesis. A completely unexpected "thank you" for help and support I offered throughout the duration of the past three years. It really was lovely =).

I was watching Avatar The Last Airbender and something happened that was really amusing and I smiled...

I think I smiled when I finally unlocked Ada in The Mercenaries Game in RE4... almost died before it even ended. Mostly because I spent a good hour and a half getting my head cut off. I do not believe I will ever see a chainsaw the same again. This smile was mostly brought up by how relieved I was when it was finally over... how I am going to unlock the other characters is beyond me!

Oh I also smiled how easy King Boo actually was in Super Mario Sunshine. I spent almost an hour just throwing them damned chilies into his mouth, never occured to me to throw the other fruit at him. This smile was more out of relief that it was over. Wasn't difficult but very long and annoying.


Oh I also smiled when I found out my new name... Gidget Liverchunks! Five cookies to the person who figures out where this came from. Yea I know I am a bit old for this kind of book, but I love them anyways <3. Which reminds me... I wonder where the rest of the series went

Thats about it. Well actualy this was all yesterday, because its past midnight. But it still within the past 24 hours so its all good.

I was talking to Brandon and rambling on and on about some topic, and it changed to another topic, then another, and soon I forgot what I was talking about. I tried to recall what my original topic was, but got all flustered and told him I was sorry for being so scatterbrained. He sighed happily and said my rambling was adorable and that he'd marry me one day. I was like, "You're gonna marry me because I ramble so much? What the hell is wrong with you XD" and he was like "No, because I love you, you pain in the *ss" <-- and I smiled with a swelly, lovey heart XDDD <3333.

I smiled at a bunch of videos I was watching with my sister. Pretty boring stuff.

I'm too tired at the moment to remember what made me smile earlier today, but this made me smile about five minutes ago:

Shin-chan made me smile as I watched it this morning.

As for what made me smile yesterday (2 hours ago) was several Youtube videos. One of them being Final Countdown (Cellos), and several anime convention skits. Oh, and the fact that I can play Iron Man on my clarinet

Starting Code Geass today made me smile, and talking to Laika makes me smile too.

When I woke up this (er, yesterday) morning and realized "oh ****, no school". Times like this make me realize how much I take weekends for granted.

Also lots of stuff on /b/ and the likes.

Tazryl: I'm sure every gamer has been through similar experiences as you have, and yes, those smiles are worth the effort and endless chainsaw deaths xD.

Liah: Smiling is a given when speaking with the one your heart is connected to, I'm glad the two of you are keeping strong

Pani: Sibling company can involve doing the most boring of things, still, you'll always find something to smile or laugh about within that duration ^^.

Sugar: I'll be sure to watch that if Youtube will stop acting up and work on Firefox xD. What is this chocolate rain all about anyways?

Slur: That's quite the selection there, and see if you can get a recording of that Iron Man and share it with us

Zarah: Is Code Geass any good? I'm currently compiling a list of "things-to-watch" after completing uni on the 27th of May insha'Allah. Please recommend any anime if possible ^^

315: I've completely taken days off for granted as well. As my schedule currently stands, I only attend university three times a week

The fact that I finally got to play Ti-Link at Brawl today without having to quit made me smile. He's hard to beat,

I need sheet music to play I suck at memorising songs ^^;; I can send you over a song later this morning. --when I wake up around 9:30. I shouldn't be up right now and the scanner will make a whole lot of noise.
