Musicians?

So, we all like music here, but who here's an actual musician?

I've played trumpet since I was in 5th grade, and went pretty nuts with it. I was in all the middle school bands, including the ever amazing (back then, anyway) Stage Band. Once I got to highschool, I joined up with the marching band, and never looked back. Over the last four years marching, I've gotten pretty good. It's definitely the hardest type of music to play, with all the different aspects. Between ridiculous volume, difficult runs and you know, marching, it's a real pain in the ass. Besides marching, I've been in most of our school's ensembles, which is pretty cool, I guess.


So, any of you play anything, or actually in a band of your own?

Acoustic guitar, electric guitar, piano... that's it for now ^_^

i play the clarinet, Acoustic guitar, piano, and bass drum. that's all for now, but i am hoping to learn the flute.

I play Clarinet as well.

Yup.
Since Jr. High(8th grade)
There's 3 different band classes, and I'm in the Wind Ensemble, which is more reserved for the...good people, shall we say.
It's small(about 20 members), but we sound good that way.

oh, cool. we just have two bands a begining band 6-7th grade and a high school band 8-12th grade. this is my first year in highschool band and it's been great.

That's how I felt.
It's rather hard to go without it. In fact, I dont even consider Band a class. It's more like...a second home or something.

I'd sure love to join a band... or maybe a rock band

Meh, nah... ill just go solo i guess ^_^

Hahah, ah, all the times I've thought that in my highschool years got me to thinking...

Marching Band- Two three hour rehearsals per week, followed by (on average) six hours of rehearsal/competition time on Saturdays. About three hours during school spread out throughout the school week. I've been doing that for all four years of my highschool career.

Other Bands- Every other day for about two hours year-round since highschool started.

Various concerts and other rehearsals mixed in here and there...

Yeah, the Band Room is definitely a second home for me. I love that place. 8D

I play Clarinet as well.

So do I, and I'm not changing. Band is the only good thing to happen in school since art. I've been first chair since test # 2 in there.

So many clarinet players here ^_^... maybe I should try a clarinet out

agreed, if anyone ever wants to find me i'll either be on the computer, at gaurd practice, or in the band room. band is definetly a second home.

Yeah, you can find me looking at my music during self select reading, wishing for full band. We have only woodwinds for first period. It's my home away from home. The room is so big! And it has speakers for music to play.

I agree with everyone(almost)
Our band has marching rehearsals every day for an hour (during fall), and we rehearse for concert season every wednesday during the rest of the year.

It's extremely tiring, but i like it somehow
